The kids (7, 9, 11) had a grand time exploring the property and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. I REALLY appreciated having the basics - coffee filters, tissues, foil, salt/pepper, oil. "This cabin is clean and the staff were very nice. Not really anything big to complain about. Some helpful things to know when making your decision to stay here would be that cabin 1 is very close to the road. While having a fire in the evening we would have to stop mid conversation due to the road noise. I think you would avoid this with the other cabins. The coffee pot is a keurig, I wish I knew this before we arrived, I would have brought my reusable keurig cup along with my coffee (I just brought coffee). They do provide K-cups, so no need to bring coffee if you don't want to. The cabin could use a lamp or two, if one person wants to stay awake and read, there is no lighting for this, it's either all lights on or off. I think it would also be beneficial to have a mirror outside of the bathroom, if you are trying to get ready for the day and someone is in the bathroom you just have to wait. The main air conditioning unit is in the living area so the bedroom gets warm if you do not leave the bedroom door open while sleeping. This would probably not be an issue in early/late season as you could open the windows, but then there might be road noise. These are minor inconveniences, the overall stay was great. My daughter loved the games in the cabin and the location is 3 miles from the main street in Custer. "
