This was the cheapest hotel I could find, so I didn’t have high expectations to start. I expected this to be similar to a motel 6 or other economy hotel. I just needed a clean bed and a safe space for my stay, that was it.
Mouse dropping on 2nd bed (there was a gap on the door that they bacon get through), bug on bed (no signs of bed bugs), moldy odor from corner of room (signs of water damage), door was so warped that deadbolt would not latch, while I believe towels and linens were laundered/clean the towels were stained and had bark/debris stuck on the terry cloth and bed covers had cigarette holes.
Pros.., had working ac and hot water. 2nd bed did not have any signs of bugs or mice.
I arrived at 3am and had a wedding the next day… I literally had a back to back schedule and did not have the time nor energy to try to resolve with the hotel or hotels.com
I wrapped myself in in my robe used my clothes as the best shield I could for my own sanity.
I would expect hotels.com to only do business with hotels the meet the bare minimum requirements of safety, health, and cleanliness.
This room was absolutely not it.
