Pros: - 3 min from Market Square - specious rooms - some rooms have Jacuzzi bathtub - 2 very nice restaurants - super nice service Cons - very small thing: curtains that they use doesn't clock well the sun, so for light sleepers it's a bit harder
This historical hotel is amazing, with a great location, a wonderful SPA, very nice and friendly service, a very good breakfast and nice rooms with fantastic bathroom. The interior are really characteristic and the hotel bar seems cozy although with a small baby we didn’t use it.
I have booked an Executive Room - and yet a Christmas Party has meant that the Bar and Restaurant are Not available tonight - so in the Snow I had to go out to eat and Drink . Appalling for a 5 Star !
We booked a stay in Wroclaw and the Hotel Monopol to shorten our drive from Krakow to Berlin, and were very positively surprised both by the City and the hotel! We got a very modern, impressive room with floor to ceiling windows and a fantastic bath. In the evening we had a fantastic dinner on the roof overlooking the city. The hotel is centrally located for a stroll walking around the old town and the shopping area.
The hotel is in an extremely central location in Wroclaw - approximately 5 minutes from the city centre. The 106 bus will drop you off from the airport at the Renoma store which is again 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel itself is very impressive. The rooms are large and well heated, they are well cleaned every day, the bathrooms are large and have all relevant amenities. My partner and I slept very well, and enjoyed the 'wellness centre' (approximately 15m pool, sauna/steam, and a (tiny) gym we didn't use). The staff are very professional and helpful. Would highly recommend if you want a pleasant central location at a very well maintained hotel
Fantastic hotel, stunning deco, marble walls, a mix of old world and modern. Very attentive professional staff, 5 minutes from old town square. Beautiful Spa and rooms. However the problem is with the acoustics of the hotel. If you want a good nights sleep you'll have a problem. Because of the dark wooden floors and marble walls noise echos throughout the whole hotel like you wouldnt believe. If someone slams a door a two floors above you, youll hear it. someone dropped coins onto the wooden floor in the middle of the night in the room above me and it sounded like a firecracker was going off in my room. Scared the hell out of me. It also sounded to me like the cleaners were dragging furniture around all day long. Any time I was in my room all I heard was banging, scraping, and sliding all around me. Also you cant shut the curtains yourself as the windows are so tall, reception have to send someone up do it for you. Crazy. Anyway, its a shame but thats just my experience and never slept great. Like I said. Super cool hotel but very noisy and echoey
The hotel is a beautiful historic building next to a gothic cathedral and five minutes walk from the market square. Impeccable location. Service is fantastic, prompt and attentive. The spa is wonderful with perhaps the best sauna I've been at. Hot enough and water cold enough. Absolutely rejuvenating. The spa therapist olga (or ola sorry) is exceptional. BUT here comes the bad side. The rooms!!!! I have to look at four rooms before deciding paying extra to a suite facing the street because the other rooms are just way too small and I've already booked the deluxe category. I can only imagine how small the regular rooms are. The beds are even smaller. Poor quality mattress, poor quality linens, lumpy uncomfortable pillows. The final room I settled for has a very high ceiling and absolutely stunning in concept. I wish they can make it more cosy. With such a big room and a small bed the proportion just throws you off and the lights, oh my god the lights. It's like I'm sleeping in an office! It's so cold and unwelcoming!!! It's on the first floor facing a pedestrian area. The window was double glaced so enough to buffer the noise from the trams BUT not the lady wearing high heals above me. And she's a very early riser. So so so noisy! I would not choose that room if I were alone but since I was with a friend the bed is just simply too small for two in the deluxe rooms. I wish the hotel would do something to make the suites more cosy because there's just so much they could do! I can think of a million things. The big rooms are just bare! The front desk staff in the morning are the best. The ones at night are clueless. A lot of things need to improve in this hotel. It's really too bad because it has so much potential.
Corner An excellent business trip, complemented by my stay in this seriously 5* Hotel. Ate at the lower level restaurant last nite as well. Fine food and excellent service, Corner (the gentleman who took our table) was impeccable. The Hotel also has a rooftop restaurant which I will sample in my next trip. If you come to Wroclaw, the rooms are first class as is the restaurant. Proximity to downtown and the central square is close. Rooms and cleanliness:4.5*, service 5*, food 4.5*, history and downtown walk 5*, bar 4.5*. Overall 5*.
My booking was confirmed 3 months prior to my arrival. I was surprised that the hotel did not have a room for me upon check in. I had lots of luggage with me and I had wanted to stay at this hotel since it is next to the train station. The hotel said that they had emailed my booking agent ONE DAY before my arrival to inform me that they had re-booked me for another hotel. By then I was already traveling. Not professional. I was utterly disappointed that the hotel didn't bother to make arrangements for my luggage to be transported to the alternative lodging. Avoid staying here. Bad experience.
You never know when going to a scenery place to have a lunch. Here it worked. The salad portions were actually very good. Definitely a good place. Pretty good service. Combine this with other activities near-by.
