Wonderful Mountain Cabin Getaway!
We had a wonderful time here for a weekend winter getaway! The cabin is beautiful, well decorated, has a well appointed kitchen with anything you need to cook. There's an awesome hot tub on the deck where you can soak under the stars at night.

Fabulous getaway!
Stream song is a delightful cabin with very comfy beds, a hot tub and the sound of the stream l around you. I would definitely stay here again! The kitchen was equipped enough to cook most things and the house was very clean, they even had nice bathrobes in the bathrooms. My only negative is we had ordered an add on of the breakfast package and it was expensive, but the food was really low budget, I would not recommend the breakfast package. Everything else was top notch!!

Cleanliness was poor
There were dead stink bugs and flies all over the floors. Many live ones as well.

First time, but not the last
My wife and I stayed three nights in this Lydia Mountain Cabin. It was set back from the road and there were no signs of neighbors. The private log cabin offered all of the amenities we were looking for such as a large outdoor covered sitting area, firepit, grill, hot tub, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washer and dryer. It was just a 10 minute drive to Entry Run Trail and a 15 minute drive to the entrance to Shenandoah National Park. There was some miscommunication on checking in, but Joshua made everything right and included a gift basket of local wines and chocolate. He also took the time to provide us a personal tour of the main lodge, which was fantastic. We were previously using VRBOs, but we will be staying at a Lydia's Mountain Cabin during future vacations.

Market this
MARKET THIS: We charge you a cleaning fee then make you take your garbage with you and drive nine miles to dump it. We also put an envelope on the table for a tip for cleaning service. Why don't you just charge for the room and include all this crap in the room rate?
There were dead bugs on the floors in the kitchen and laundry area so it wasn't very clean anyway. The kitchen sink needs repair and the bathroom light/fan in the loft did not work. Everything else was very nice.
Headline: Beautiful Cabin, but Freezing. Do Not Book in Winter.Rating: We spent a 3-night New Year’s trip that was a disaster. We drove 4 hours from DE to an indoor 51F cabin upon our arrival. Day 1 heat did not work. Day 2, Management took all day to respond. When maintenance finally arrived on Dec 31, he declared the heating system "terminal"—it could not be fixed. We spent our entire "romantic getaway" in multiple layers, huddling around a fireplace and last resort, succumbing to desperation, we used the kitchen stove for heat! The indoor temp never rose above 58F.The hot tub was equally bad, with an overwhelming chlorine odor. My wife developed severe, painful hives all over her body before checkout, requiring medical creams. This was not due to overuse. Unfortunately, we did not report it immediately to them, but still too late for her if we did while dealing with the heat issue.Lydia Mountain management offered no additional extra heaters (ie: plug-in radiators) beyond the two small space heaters already there; these were very ineffective. They never followed up after their tech confirmed the heat was broken. To pay luxury prices for freezing temperatures and chemical burns is unacceptable. We are seeking a refund for a total lack of basic habitability. A New Year’s getaway should be about relaxation and romance, not huddling around a stove for warmth or dealing with painful skin reactions.Do not book this winter (1/2026) until fixed!
