This was a overnight only stopover on a longer trip. The staff gave us a friendly welcome in at 1.55 in the morning. The room was clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. Yum yum! Would recommend to any traveller who needs a good nights sleep and a good breakfast.
We used this as a stop half way back to North East and found it very good value for money. The room was clean and had everything you need , including a hairdryer, iron/ ironing board . The included breakfast was very good and you have the option to do take away if required .
We booked a two night stay at this hotel as we were attending a wedding and we could not have had a better experience. I was accompanying my disabled mother on this trip who has very poor mobility and is always very anxious when leaving the comfort of her home because of how difficult it is to find accomadation that is suitable for her needs. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond the call of their customer care duties from our booking experience to the time we checked out. We were given an accessible room with a wet room and double bed for Mum and then an ajoining double room for me so I could be on hand to support her as and when she needed it.The hotel did not charge us for my room! They offered it free of charge as I was there as support for my mum. We were greeted by an extremely helpful man named Chris on reception who ensured everything was put in place for us and continued to offer support throughout our stay. Every time we saw him he asked us if we had everything we needed and to let him know we only had to ask if we had any difficulties. I have never come across another hotel that was so understanding and accommodating when it comes to the needs of the disabled, and at no point did anyone make Mum feel like she was an imposition or offer over care (something you get in a lot of places, people think they are helping but actually they are being really patronising). We had a wonderful, comfortable stay in a very clean room with an excellent complimentary breakfast. There is plenty of parking for disabled users and non disabled and the hotel is in a great location if visiting the local areas. They are excellent Value for money and I highly recommend this place. There staff are well trained, friendly and caring. Thank you so much to everyone at holiday inn Lichfield but especially to Chris who went above and beyond to ensure all mums needs were met. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be booking in.
My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay overnight during our journey to Scotland. We looked at a few places online but nothing could beat this place. Our room was well equipped and decorated, the only flaw I can think of was a missing toilet brush. Not sure if it was supposed to be there or not as a lot of places are not using them anymore. Anyway we both slept beautifully and the breakfast served in the morning was great. Delicious buffet with a lot of cold choices if you don’t fancy the traditional English breakfast. 10/10 B&B for us.
Would highly recommend this holiday Inn. It was clean and extremely comfortable. The room was nice and quiet. There was free parking with a TGI Fridays next door. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety and even take away cups and bags if you are needing to take it with you.
We stayed for 3 nights using it as a base to attend theatres in Lichfield and Wolverhampton and to explore the area. The receptionist was lovely and had us booked in most efficiently. We had booked a twin bedded room and it was spotless with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The 'blown' light was replaced quickly and the room was cleaned and towels changed as required. Breakfast is included - the usual cereals, juices, English breakfast, croissants, toast, coffee etc. It was particularly busy between 9am - 10am. There is plenty of parking and nearby there are a Frankie and Benny's, Costa, McDonalds and a David Lloyd's. My only gripe would be the constant banging of doors (maybe soft closing doors could be something to be thought about) after 12.30 am by other guests coming back from their evenings out. We would certainly use the Holiday Inn again.
Stayed here for one night for an event in Stafford. Very good budget hotel, very nice staff, room was fine with all you needed. Plenty of parking. Restaurant nearby but little else but fine for a stopover. Very good breakfast included, all in all great value.
This is a no-frills, budget hotel, but is fantastic value for money. For £52 a night, we had a large double room which included a sofa. The room was modern, clean and bright and although we were facing the main Roda, surprisingly quiet! If you had the window open, you could hear the traffic, but it was almost silent with the window closed. The bathroom was also clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast was included. Again, no-frills, but had hot buffet, cereals, toast and the option to 'build-your-own bap' for those on the go. Really appreciated the grab-and-go options! Also, brownie points given for providing soy milk upon request. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Stayed here for 1 night with my wife and children. Found the beds to be uncomfortable and the sheets weren’t clean. One of my 2year olds got a rash while we were there. Also we got there around midnight so just used the place to sleep. When we got there I felt like we were at an animal centre. Every room we walked past go get to our room had a dog in it, and they were barking. Not sure why dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel. Breakfast was basic not many choices but i know it is an express so it is expected. Overall at the end of the stay my son had a rash from the bed, i was feeling itchy too. So I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with children.
This place was a perfect stay for our trips to Cadbury world and Drayton manor theme park. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were spot on and breakfast was just right. You could even get a carry out. We would definitely stay here again.
