Villa Mangorosa

Villa Mangorosa is a 4 bedroom 3.5 bathroom villa nestled on the cliff edge of West Caret Bay. This unit provides ample space for the entire family to play and retreat when privacy in needed. Enjoy the sounds of the ocean crashing on the rocks and the ocean breeze while having breakfast on the deck or a glass of wine while the sunsets. With indoor and outdoor dining, plus a wet bar for more entertainment, you choose the option that rocks your boat!

The main level consists of a kitchen, living and dining room, access to your own private pool right outside of the living room, a laundry room, half bath, and a master bedroom.

A gate is available to enter the community. This home comes with 2 parking spaces that are nearby. A vehicle is needed to in order to get to and from the property.

Magens Bay beach is 20 minute drive. The east end/ Red Hook area and Ferry to St. Joh is an estimated time of 30-35 minutes. Downtown Shopping and Restaurants is 20 minutes.

Catering services will be allowed and must be approved in advance. All tables, flatware, china, dishes and glasses for the event must be provided by the caterer. Guest are held completely responsible for any damages or missing items.

We had a wonderful stay! The views were absolutely stunning—every room offered a beautiful look at the ocean, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it comfortable and easy to settle right in. The host was also fantastic, responding quickly and helpfully to any questions we had along the way.The only thing to note is that the drive down to the property is a bit crazy, but once you arrive, it’s completely worth it. Overall, a fantastic place to stay—we’d definitely come back!

We had a great overall stay and really appreciated the beautiful view—definitely one of the highlights of the property. The beds were very comfortable, and it was a huge plus to have access to beach chairs, floats, and a cooler for our outings. The pool on property was great and the patio overlooking the ocean is stunning. There were a few issues during our stay. The TV in the primary bedroom didn’t work, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, plan to login for any subscription services for streaming. Additionally, the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night despite there being no smoke or fire, which was unsettling.We also encountered some pests, including a scorpion and a few roaches. While we understand this can be expected in a tropical location, it was still a bit uncomfortable.The road to the property is rough and not easy to drive but isn’t due to this host. Just an FYI for future guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided, but addressing the pest issues would make the experience even better for future guests.

The villa is beautiful. Very clean and exactly as it appears in the photos. There were five us. We were more than comfortable. It has all the amenities you need - just like home, except, the coffee maker is a keurig, so bring cups and not a pound of coffee. TV is not really available. The TVs are smart tvs, but we couldn’t log in with our passwords to any streaming services. The roads are treacherous. Not gonna lie. You are going up a mountain. It’s a mountainous island. You really need a jeep. Sharp steep turns. We were five women and we managed though. The host was excellent. Super responsive.

Great view! Having laundry is a huge plus for our large family as well. This place offered beach supplies that came in handy so we didn’t need to bring or purchase towels or chairs for our day trips. Lots of room and we enjoyed the pool.

Seaside Oasis: calm surroundings, beautiful views

Nestled atop a rugged cliff, this house is a hidden gem that promises tranquility and awe-inspiring views. As you wind your way along the coastal road, anticipation builds—because sometimes, the journey is as remarkable as the destination. The house is charming, very clean and has large windows and comfortable beds. The scent of saltwater hangs in the air, and the rhythmic crash of waves becomes your soundtrack.

Views Worth the Trek

This large, well equipped home is located on the sparsely populated north side of St. Thomas with breath-taking views. Room enough for our grown family of six with plenty of space for hanging out in the family room. The deck is spacious and private, looking out to the north over the Caribbean Sea. There is no access to the shore here--too steep and rocky, but still an amazing vantage point. Always felt very safe and secure here, with gated access to residents. Brand new appliances in the kitchen with many cooking and serving accessories. Brand new gas grill on the deck which works very well for grilling meals. Deck furniture is plentiful and comfortable. Beds are are comfortable with bedrooms each having their own A/C unit. Owners are very attentive and easy to contact. They went above and beyond to provide for us--even on New Year's Day!!! The only drawback is the drive into the community. Make sure to have a 4X4 and be patient and focused. The drive is not for the feint of heart, but the destination is well worth it. Located within 15-35 minutes from any attraction or beach on the island.

Rest & Refresh in calm surroundings @ Villa Mangorosa!!

The view is WOW but more important the peace and calmness of the entire space. The space is cozy and we were welcomed with local treats which shows intention! The layout was exactly what our team needed with group work space and lots of peaceful private areas about. Breezes were amazing and stargazing was spectacular, especially on a cloudless night. It's about a 10 minute drive from Nisky (goes by quick) it is close to everything and convenient. Definitely the top of my list, its peace and quiet sounds of nature are refreshing.

Restful and relaxing

We really enjoyed our time at Villa Mangorosa for the holidays. The view is spectacular directly above the ocean on the north side of the island. The north side of the island is residential and quiet, which is my family's preference. Everything is within 15-25 minute drive. The house is at the end of a long road with lots of inclines and sharp turns. We were happy that we rented a 4x4 vehicle. Gated community with dedicated parking. The house is at the bottom of about 50 steps. Keep that in mind if your guests are not physically able to comfortably climb stairs. You also need to maneuver your luggage up and down. The house is exactly as pictured with 4 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have mirrored layouts with on suite bathrooms (1 on main floor and 1 on 2nd floor). The 2 remaining bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and share access to a large bathroom with 2 sinks. Large tvs in every room; however, only have access to cable in living room. Other tvs have streaming apps available. A few items of inconveniences that the host can resolve. Only 1 dish towel and no pot holders in kitchen. Only 2 bath towels per bathroom, so we had to wash towels everyday. Minor ant problem second day, because my child left open sweet cereal box on counter. We put out ant bait and used ziploc bags for all food after and the ant problem resolved. Its important to note, this house is on a lush green hillside landscape and bugs are unavoidable. We loved the house and highly recommend.
