8/10 Good

we began our stay on 4/1, which was the same day that the new owners closed on the rental. I had the opportunity to meet the new owners and they have big improvement plans in place, which are much needed. We stayed in the lower level of the house for a week. The view was lovely and the rental was equipped with almost everything we needed. We cooked almost all of meals at the house and had all kitchen tools that we needed. Our biggest challenges were the lack of accuracy of the Vrbo listing, the St. Thomas daily power outages, the surprise construction on the house, and the propane run out. There is no grill on the lower level which did not match the listing. The grill is on the upper level, directly outside the other units front door so it’s a bit awkward to use. The listing noted that there was solar. However, only the upper unit had solar, not the lower, so when the daily power outages rolled through, there was no power at the lower unit until about 6pm. The new owners are installing solar for the lower unit, so that will be a big win for any future guests. The propane was one of the larger irritants of the stay as that was something that the property manager should have addressed ahead of our stay. The propane drove the dryer heating and the stove/oven. They sent someone a while later to replace. The new owners began construction on the house immediately following closing, however we were not notified that workers would be there first thing in the morning everyday.
