It is an older property, perhaps a bit updating with painting rooms. The staff were wonderful. Gave us good info on beaches. traveling the Island Breakfast simple, and very good

If you are looking for the Hilton or Marriott, this is not for you. It's a B & B in every way. The cheaper the room, the lower the grade (you can hear everything in other rooms in this area), older furniture, squeeky doors, noisy air conditioners etc. Little to no view of the ocean. The more expensive rooms are much better with great views and better furniture. House keeper needs go do a little better job of 'cleaning and dusting'.

It was very peaceful and the view of the island was beautiful. We had a morning visitor each morning, an iguana, and breakfast was great.

Excellent veiws ..the breakfast was great fresh everyday

I liked It's location and art. Its a cool place. Close to the airport.

The staff were everything. Incredible crew. Really make you feel at home. The location is great as well. Just be advised that every sound in the hallways, including a tv in another room, will be heard clearly in your room. Zero soundproofing. For someone sensitive to sound, this could make sleeping on their vacation difficult. I WILL return to this property.

Staff was great, very friendly, breakfasts were terrific, views we also great

Great niche hotel that is a bit of an experience. Lots of steps as rooms are integrated into the hill. Close to old town if you are good at steps. Super view from lobby. Breakfast helped make the experience fabulous. Rooms are functional and not the highlight.

If you want to experience some of the local rustic charm of the island and skip the typical Americana you can always experience in a chain hotel the Galleon is a fabulous choice. Dollar for dollar, Galleon House is the absolute best deal on the island. The location is convenient to everything around Charlotte Amalie Harbor including FrenchTown and Havensight Shopping Area. The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful in every need especially in assisting with directions and answering questions of a local nature. I can't say enough good things about the complementary breakfast...a choice of three delicious hot breakfast with orange or cranberry juice cooked to your order. Above all was the view from our room...the best hotel room view I've every had in my life...we could see the entire Charlotte Amalia Harbor, Frenchtown, cruise ships, everything! I am sure if we had stayed at one of the chain hotels we would have experienced a big load of Americana and felt like in some ways we had never left the mainland. Plus, we would have paid two or three times as much!!

No frills accommodations in town. Good value. Nice breakfast.

Nice close too everything enjoy my stay this my second time stay there

Maintenance delayed, needs paint and repaires cosmetics poor image.

Close to town and nice view also good cooked breakfast

Good breakfast. Rooms needs upgrade A/c unit need cleaning

We needed a place to stay in St Thomas after chartering in the BVI. It was a great location downtown. Easy access to food or the safari cabs to get anywhere on the island. The owner and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are old but clean. Hot coffee and breakfast in the morning and not needing a rental car to get home is a relaxing weekend in St Thomas for me. Can’t beat that price!! Thanks again.

Call to see if TV and Wireless have been fixed yet since the hurricanes. Still out through FEB/2018. Room had a spongy/squeeky bed. Breakfast was the best thing they had going for the experience. If you have a car, parking nearby is full until about 5:30pm until the locals leave their jobs and go home. Too many steps to get in and out of your stay.
