Location is a short 5 minute walk to the shops in downtown Charlotte Amalie. The hotel needs updating as the rooms are very outdated with many repairs are necessary or were done in makeshift fashion. Tile repairs and caulking are noticeable and poorly done. Sliding door handle was broken and door hard to move. Breakfast, which was included, was limited to one of the following: Bagel & Cream Cheese; Pancakes & Bacon or Ham; Eggs & Bacon or Ham. No other choices. A/C was an in window unit that worked but was loud.

This little property is a real gem. I have a little eco system on the island, and Bunker Hill is in such a perfect location to access everything. The safari is close, the best food truck ever is right up the road, the harbor is a hop away and the Saturday market is walking distance. I loved it. The restaurant on property is great and my local friends actually liked the food (and knew the bartender!!). Lovely property, I will be back!

The hotel is considerably overrated. Except for one lady at the check-in the staff is unpleasant and unwilling to assist. The hotel was half empty, but we heard NO for the late check-out ( not even an hour). The property is in poor condition, rooms are dirty and AC very noisy. Sometimes you see dark water in the faucet. The neighborhood is filthy and noisy. Very disappointed

Nice rooms at a low cost. Only complaint is that the hotel has no

You get what you pay for. Older hotel. We had lots of patches and broken/missing tile in the room. Bed was hard, pillows flat. They were quick with towel replacement, and pool was small but nice. The AC worked so that was important. I'd stay again, its cheap and works. Free breakfast in the morning was a plus as well. HOWEVER do not pay the extra money for the "King with bay view balcony" - my room #22 and was right over the pool and that was my view. I had to scoot all the way to the edge of my balcony, and squint really hard to see any view of anything that would resemble water. It was more of a town view and not worth it.

Everything was excellent from service to my room to location

Property has 2 cute pools, only really one usable, the other is the size of a large hot tub and in the shaded area only open for breakfast. The main pool is tiny as well but serves its purpose. You can see the ocean from the pool area in the distance. This is the cheapest hotel on island for a reason. If you’re going for the once a year family vacation or romantic getaway then I would recommend somewhere else and pay the extra $50 a night. The issues with the hotel are; 1) cleanliness- there was dirt all over the counters, stained lampshades, we were to scared to open the cupboards, and the worst being that the floors were so dirty that after a shower your feet would turn black from walking on them. 2) safety- the hotel is located a couple blocks from some local seedy night clubs and bars, our second night there at 4:30am there were 4 gunshots right outside our balcony, mere feet away, the police were there in the morning...not something you want to wake up to in the middle of the night. 3) parking - the hotel has 2 spots that are not easy to get into but you still feel lucky if they are open, otherwise you have to fight and uphill one way road for street parking. 4) electricity - the hotel loses electricity multiple times throughout the day, we were warned it might happen the first day there for up to an hour because “it happens like that once or twice a month”. But in reality the electricity goes out for half the day everyday The staff was very nice and friendly

Front desk clerk was very nice and professional, I REALLY DIDN'T like the fact that i had a roach infested room that as of today have not been resolved. Had to go and purchase a can of Raid to spray down the room and stayed up all night, really didn't enjoy myself for my birthday...

It was nice to have a porch in front of my room. That was an unexpected plus. What I really disliked though was that the internet connection didn’t work often. That was very inconveniencing.

I didn't like the fact that no elevator was handy to the room..you have to drag your luggage up flights of steep steps ...Not good for elderly tourists.. Otjerwise a charming place and great food

The neighborhood felt a little sketchy...we were careful to only walk around in the daytime. It was easy access to the main shopping area & we could walk to the ferry terminal (15 minutes or so). We had a nice dinner at the hotel bar/restaurant. The room was very basic.

Restaurant was nice nice view good food pleasant service

This was a great spot for being walking distance to downtown. We stayed for one night before flying out and it was easy to park, explore the island and be able to walk around. Safe, comfortable and with a sit-down breakfast included it was a great value for our family.

Staff is great and friendly. Island courtesy and willingness to serve. Restraunt was good food and property priced. Casual dinning experience. Room was adequate but needed updating. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was dated and towls and wash cloths were a bit smelly, not a clean clorine smell. Stairs were unbelievable. Youre going up or down stairs wherever you go. Stairs are steep. You get a stairmaster workout. Not for the elderly crowd who like main floor convienience. Young people no problem, helps to define your calf muscles.

This is a delightful property! I have stayed many times in St. Thomas, both before and after the storms, and this is a quaint gem in the middle of the city. Great location and exploration. Don't be expecting catered service; it's a clean tidy room with a great restaurant, and pool, with an amazing vista. The price is right! Water pressure in the bathroom is a bit weak, but that is expected on island unless you stay at one of the hoity-toity high dollar resorts.
