You can't beat the location for the price. But I doubt the staff could be any worse if they tried. The property looks like it could have once been a great hotel. Now, it is sadly forgotten and neglected... also, did I mention how awful the staff was?

I've stayed in this hotel twice now. The first time was a more enjoyable experience. Yes it is an old building but the air conditioning did not work and all the manager could say is "it should kick on around 7". Well when it's hot in the room and you check in at 2..waiting until 7pm is very UNCOMFORTABLE. I also had called in for a TV remote because the room was missing one. It took them about 4 hours to get it to us. Staff was nice, just extremely slow and I was disappointed we weren't even offered a new room that had air.

The room was neat and generally well kept, although aged. There was a lot of space. The bathroom is SMALL with a small shower, and almost NO hot water. If we were lucky there was enough hot water for one shower. Never enough for two showers in the morning. The bathroom linens were replaced regularly but sometimes by only one set. The desk attendants seemed to be bothered when we arrived to check in and also when we checked out.

Needs to be updated. Especially since it's a downtown hotel.

Hotel shuttle doesn't work and hasn't for a long time, so why do they have it parked there like it can be used. The hotel staff was very friendly though, and they went out of their way to assist when needed. The property is a bit dated though but they still keep in nice and clean.

The hotel clearly needs to be refurbished. The hallways and common areas are filthy, peeling pain and wallpaper. Rooms were clean; staff was fair (some were good, some were rude). It's just not a nice hotel

Great view of Arch... Thats it,,, everything else about hotel was not good at all... I am a huge fan of the St. Louis area.... This hotel for first time business travelers or visitors to area would leave a very sour taste I suspect...

The room is old. The liner of the drapes torn apart. We stayed for 3 nights did not get a chance to change our beddings. by the time they clean the room we are back in our room already after a long walk. The air con is too cold, no adjustment, we have to call the maintenance and he has to do it manually. No thermostat. The sofa at the lobby are too old, and dirty. They need to renovate the hotel. Needs more employee to do some cleaning.

We stayed here for 1 night for a Cardinals game, it was within walking distance to the stadium. However, the a/c didn't work in our room, we had 4 people in our room and only 2 towels in the bathroom. Called down for more towels and was told it would be 1 1/2 hr wait and that we couldn't go down to the desk to get them. Room was clean, beds were decent. For the cost of the room, there are better choices in the area.

Internet service is terrible. Otherwise, the room was huge, beds were comfortable and the shower was hot.

It was HORRIBLE ! we stayed on the 22nd floor and our air conditioner was not working so they sent a technician that was supposedly going to fix our air , once he showed up he messed w/ it for maybe 3 seconds , then went and got a BOX FAN and said that would have to do !!!! the front desk staffed acted annoyed with any type of question ! I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN !!!!!! and there was a hidden $50.00 fee that we had no idea about !!!! oh I'm so upset !!!!!

Cigarettes put-out on the floor of the elevator, ice machines on multiple floors not working, carpet floors are universally dirty, and the toilets in the room look like they belong in a public urinal. The parking lot next door amounts to a creepy back alley, you'll notice compared to other parking structures in the area it is in by far the worst shape. The staff at the front desk, thankfully, act completely annoyed with your presence. When they actually look up to make eye contact, which is rare, it is typically to offer you a frown or let you know that something you expect is not possible. One of our nights, our sheets were not changed, the bed was simply remade. Two of the four lights in the room were also not working. Stunning view of the Arch; it should be said there is not much going on in downtown St. Louis.

The hotel is very nice. Nice lobby, great bar. Very open. I know not everyone can get the view I got, but mine was of the Arch and the Mississippi River. Really nice. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, water was hot and had good pressure. I only stayed one night, but I'd stay again.

The Crown Plaza Downtown was a great place to stay. Close to the Edward Jones Dome and the Arch. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We recommend this hotel highly.

Room was not ready upon arrival and agreed upon check in time. However the room was clean, comfortable, and service was great. The bar tenders was very nice and even though we are from the area we overheard her helping out of town desks and being very hospitable.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in! There were bugs in the bed, bugs in the bathroom. The carpet had stains, the bathroom was disgusting. The hotel is extremely old and looks like it hasn't been remodeled EVER! The hotel experience really ruined my trip! I would never go to this hotel and tell anyone to run far away from this hotel! The only positive if you can call it one after having bugs jumping on you in the bed is that the location was really good very close to the arch and view was nice of arch/river.

Hotel shuttle doesn't work and hasn't for a long time, so why do they have it parked there like it can be used. The hotel staff was very friendly though, and they went out of their way to assist when needed. The property is a bit dated though but they still keep in nice and clean.
