Four Seasons Resort - Nevis5.0 out of 5.0

I visited the Four Season in Nevis right after three cat 5 hurricanes and they were amazing. It was truly a major feat for them to open so quickly and the property was beautiful. Staff was so friendly and I felt like I was on Paradise Island!!
I can't recommend the Four Seasons Nevis enough. We fell in love with the island and the people. The service at this hotel is incomparable! They treated us like family, and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. It is certainly pricey, but worth every penny. Make sure to go to Mango Restaurant—so delicious!!! We will be back.
The Four Seasons Nevis far exceeded any expectations I had. The service was incredible! Anything you need they will take care of for you. I was stung by a bee for the first time. The security officer was able to get the stinger out without problem, using a credit card, a trick he said he learned from his grandmother. It worked just great! The property is beautiful, also. I would definitely recommend it.
I have stayed at this resort several times and each time, the service is superb. The staff and management are dedicated to providing a superior level of service. Mountain or Beach view, You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this resort.
We spent 8 nights at the resort the week of Memorial Day. It was lovely. Quiet, relaxing and we felt well cared for. The food was excellent and the staff was fabulous. Everyone we met that worked at the resort was born and raised on Nevis. They take great pride in their welcoming and generous attitude. This is not a resort with a night life - and the island closes at 10! 50% surcharge on taxis after 10 pm. We enjoyed the quiet and beauty of the island.
While not as luxurious as other four seasons hotels, we enjoyed our second visit to this hotel during the off season. Snorkels, kayaks and sups are complimentary (as is the kids camp, for those who use it), and you can snorkel right off the beach around rocks that are close to shore. The property is large and includes a beautiful golf course set on a hill with beautiful views, tennis courts, a playground, ping pong and foosball, spa, gym, shuffleboard and a large outdoor chess set. Rent a golf cart (for $30 for an hour) or walk from 5-6 p.m. and search for troupes of monkeys on the property. (Ask the staff where to look; try hole 15). Obviously, monkeys move around, but both times we rented a cart, we saw monkeys in this time frame. If they aren't there, drive some more and then come back. Remember to look up in the trees if they aren't on the course. The views from the golf course are beautiful even if you don't see monkeys. Motorized water sports are available for a fee. It's expensive, but jet skis, water skiing, banana boats, etc. are all available. I can't remember the entire list but it was extensive. Typically resorts are more limited in what is offered, or you need to book with an outside company. Here, you can do everything at the hotel. My daughter loved this hotel mostly because of how many activities are offered. We were disappointed that scuba wasn't available during our visit because the scuba instructor was not able to dive due to a pulled tooth. The purpose of our visit to Nevis was to get certified in scuba. We had to travel to a different beach in cabs three times to get certified. This put a damper on our vacation, since we had to make our own arrangements to do scuba, and we would have strongly preferred learning at the scuba center at the four seasons (we didn't like the other center). Perhaps in high season more than one instructor is available to certify divers, but in the off season there is only one. The rooms are just average (not typical for a four seasons) and on this occasion I didn't think the food was as good as on our prior visit three years ago. The staff, however, is very friendly and pleasant. There were few guests at the resort since we visited in late August. Note that for larger families or groups, homes are available for rent on property.
My family and I had a very good experience at the resort. It is not the most fabulous FS resort out there, but it is certainly great and our experience on the island was awesome. I suggest that you do not travel at the end of August, the heart of the off season, because some parts of the resort are closed and/or under construction, the place is almost empty, and I don't believe that the whole "A Team" staff was always there. But, we got to know some great people during our 8 nights and some of the staff are absolutely fabulous. Our two favorite restaurants, The Gin Trap and Yachtsman Grill, are great and we highly recommend. That said, we really enjoyed one of the restaurants at the resort, Coral Grill, and enjoyed all of our days by the pool and the beautiful beach. Fun resort and location. Definitely leave the property and get to know the island of Nevis. It is truly a hidden gem!
Just back from a week at this wonderful resort. Overall, one of our best trips. Service was warm and gracious, staff tried hard to address us by name. Rooms were not the most luxurious but were fine. I appreciated the complimentary snorkeling equipment, kayaks and paddle board. The Four Seasons makes arrival and departure as stress free as possible, handling every detail for you. Food was very good in all the resort restaurants. There are only a couple of things that could have been better as it relates to service. My kids have food allergies and although the staff is very good at asking about allergies, they were not great at following through. Three times my kids were served meals with coconut when that was one of their allergens. The other slightly frustrating thing was housekeeping. In most fine hotels, housekeeping will coordinate turn down service with your evening itinerary. Most nights housekeeping came for turn down service while we were getting dressed. Not a big deal but annoying. Overall, a great experience and we will likely be back.
This is a beautiful island. I was there for a wedding for the weekend. There are certain elements of the experience that are true Four Seasons, unfortunately there are others that are not. Service at breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. I had to ask twice for tea and then again twice for milk and not cream. Too many times even though things were offered they were not provided: Copy of folio not emailed, even though promised at check-out, ice promised with room service but not delivered, lemon offered with drink but not provided - lack of attention to details and follow through. Service is hit or miss depending on the area. Its a shame because those that are good are Exceptional but those that aren't really bring the experience down. We had power outages two nights which was not communicated well, there was a change of date etc. Even with the power outage no extra light provided for those checking out at 5:00 am in the dark. The experience did not live up to Four Seasons Standards.
If looking for a relaxing beach vacation, this is the place. Nevis is a beautiful island and the Four Seasons is a nice facility with a wonderful staff. From the start, I was greeted by Phaedra, my guest services representative and she was wonderful. She checked in with me throughout my stay to make any arrangements or reservations i needed. I spent most of my trip at the beach and the beach staff was first rate, with special kudos to Steve on the red umbrella side. When he was on the early shift he already had my chair set up for me by the time I got out there. I ate at all three restaurants and the food was good at each one and the service was uniformly outstanding. On my last night, my check was accompanied with truffles and "bon voyage" written in chocolate sauce.. While a little thing, it was appreciated. Small touches like this by the staff were not uncommon and only enhance a vacation. Overall, a great stay, first rate staff and as a solo traveler, I always felt welcome.
