I booked this based on reviews and am so glad I did. All rooms have a great view. Rooms are spacious and as advertised. Kitchens are well stocked with up-to-date appliances. There is even an outdoor kitchen next to the pool. Free laundry machines. The walk to Cruz Bay is short. We rented a vehicle but it was so nice to be able to walk to dinner in case we drank. It is not a traditional hotel - no concierge, of on-site staff to speak of (although host always answer calls & texts). Highly recommended.
This place is absolutely stunning! Delrise and Delbert make your feel right at home in their comfortable place. All of the amenities of home are included in these rooms. We had a beautiful view of the Caribbean, nice pool and jacuzzi. A short, 10 minute walk to town and all of the restaurants. It is off the beaten track, and so relaxing and peaceful you will feel right at home the second you walk through the gate.
Vacationing at Sea Shore Allure was just what my family needed! Delrise met us at the dock of the ferry and guided us to the car rental and even arranged for a crib to be delivered to our apartment. I just had a baby and the 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment was perfect for our family. SSA thought of everything! The apartment was huge, clean, organized, beautifully decorated...there were even coolers, chairs, and pool toys available for guests! They supplied laundry detergent so we could wash our clothes and towels (this isn’t a hotel so we did have to wash our own towels but the washing/drying machine was huge so we could finish a load really quickly)...the gigantic kitchen was perfect for cooking breakfast and preparing meals (it was a short walk to the market from the apartment). From what I can see, this was the nicest place we could have stayed in on St John. We were walking distance from everything and if we didn’t have a baby with us we could have easily skipped the car rental. I 100% recommend staying here.
We love St John but normally don't stay in town because we like peace and quiet with our beautiful views. Well, who knew that you could get such peace and tranquility in Cruz Bay? SSA is set inside a beautiful cove with an expansive view to the ocean, the only sound the constant soft crash of waves onto the beach. I wondered if we would hear other people, but the units are all sound-proofed----so solidly built that the hurricanes apparently did little damage. The units themselves are comfortable and beautifully furnished, and stocked with every item you might need -- fully outfitted kitchens, yoga mat, umbrella, bug spray, plenty of towels, you name it. The pool and spa are meticulously maintained and there's a real island feel to the outdoor plantings, the thatched huts, the pool, the palms. If you have an issue, the wonderful Seychelle or one of the owners is on site to help. You can walk into town in ten minutes, or drive there in 2. Really a beautiful property!
Marvelous hotel just off the car barge dock in Cruz Bay. Extremely high end condos, great small swimming pool and BBQ area. 10 min walk to downtown. Friendly staff, stocked fridge on arrival, all imaginable utensils for the kitchen. Right on the waters edge with beautiful views.
Our family recently stayed at Sea Shore Allure and we really enjoyed our stay. The villas are extremely clean and come with anything you could possibly need. We utilized the pool and grilling area often where we could watch the sunset - it was stunning! The owners and property manager are all extremely welcoming and helpful with recommendations. They always had a smile and cared about making sure we had a comfortable stay. The island looks beautiful and we can’t wait to return!
This is our second stay at Sea Shore Allure on St. John. It is a fabulous property providing an oasis within an easy walk to town. We walked to dinner in town almost each evening. The on-site managers are extremely attentive and take exceptional care of the property. They also set up our jeep rental for us. We have stayed in a two bedroom and a three bedroom and both offer high-end furnishings, tvs, appliances and balconies with great views. The pool area is beautiful and we ate dinner out by the pool at the lovely outdoor kitchen and dining area. There is also a large hot tub right on the water with amazing views that we enjoyed every day. There is no sign of hurricane damage on the property. St. John is a special place to visit. We enjoyed visiting and snorkeling at different beaches on the island every day and a day boat trip to the BVI. If you are lucky enough go to St. John and are considering a stay at the Sea Shore Allure, go for it!
This is such a beautiful property! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. It is a little away from downtown so you’ll have to take a taxi to downtown. There isn’t really a beach to speak of, but the pool (although small) is very nice. Delbert and Delrise were so helpful and kind! Overall an EXCELLENT hotel. So beautiful and plush!
After seeing all of the online photos and videos of St. John after the storms last year we were a little worried about returning so soon to one of our favorite places on earth. We talked to Delrise and Delbert about the recovery efforts on the island and decided give it a go. So glad we did. The Allure property is in great shape with the exception of the vegetation above the sea wall. It was destroyed last year but now you are left with an amazing view of the bay that had been obscured. We spend hours watching the waves and the resident family of pelicans diving like rockets into the beautiful water. The property looks great and Delbert has added a built in kitchen that includes an amazing grill and icemaker that makes cubes in the shape of small shot glasses. The large screen TV on the BBQ patio was a casualty of the storms but a new one is on the way. The pool is still wonderful and has that infinity feel with new open view of the ocean. The units came through the storms in great shape and are as beautiful as our last visit. We were able to take an extended jeep tour of the island with Jenn who writes The News of St. John blog and saw no better place to stay than at Allure. Most of the shops and restaurants are coming back on line in Cruz Bay and the Star Fish Market is well stocked for all of you needs. All of this being within walking distance from Allure, suited our needs perfectly. The island community is working hard to bring St. John back and we were glad to be able to support their efforts with our visit. Thanks again to Delrise and Delbert. We will be back soon !!!!
I came to St John on my own because I wanted to snorkel before I was really too old (I am 82). I am so glad that I chose Sea Shore Allure. This is a top notch condo - high class construction, very tasteful décor, immaculate, quiet, full kitchen with everything one would need, easy walking distance to the shops in Cruz Bay. Dilbert and Delrise put me in the hands of Audrey who was awesome. She helped me with all my needs - private taxi from St. Thomas airport to ferry (Cathy from Chris taxi company was my driver and a delightful woman), taxis on St. John (Chico and his wife were lovely), tour of the island with Chico's wife, boat trips, provisioning, restaurant recommendations (Extra Virgin Bistro a great restaurant). Sitting on my deck in the evening with my drink watching the sun go down was a relaxing treat. St John is struggling from the hurricanes - damage to the vegetation, homes and businesses, and underwater - but everyone showed a resilient spirit and high morale, much to their credit. The perfect place to stay! My thanks to all who helped me out - and I did get to snorkel! So I can cross that off my bucket list!
