To sum up my observations of my stay in [ The Inn at Tamarind Court]... PROS: 1) Located close to a supermarket, bakery and other tourist spots. 2) Only interacted with the bartender, a cleaning lady whom were nice and approachable. The others not so. So i stayed out their way. 3) A/C worked well 4) The fruit, sweet bread & biscuits served for breakfast were tasty. 5) Beach accessories are accessible for your convenience 6) Faucets located outside in different locations to help wash off sand & etc. 7) Warm water was available everyday and had great water pressure. 8) A set of beach towels provided in room. 9) The breakfast served at the restaurant on-site is delicious. CONS: 1) Room didn't include an iron, microwave, coffeemaker. 2) Loud neighbors speaking Spanish could be heard from inside the room every evening 3) Rooster disturbed my sleep at 5:30 a.m. 4) To get to get to their parking lot located in the back area was sketchy. The road has huge pot holes and isn't nice at all. 5) Their complimentary continental breakfast was very minimal (biscuits, sweet bread, coffee, juice or tea.) 6) Was only able to receive ice when the bar staff was there. For example. Sat (closed by 12pm) 7) A dirty heavily used ice bag was provided in the room to collect ice and when i told a staff in the office about the bag she simply told me that i could just wash it out using one of the outside water sources. (I felt like buying my own. Smh) 8) The sink was small so when washing my

Great location. Very clean. Nice staff. My only suggestion would be to call ahead and see if the restaurant is open. It was closed while we were there for dinner and we had checked out the menu before we arrived and we’re looking forward to eating there.

It was an amazing stay. Staff in restaurant is helpful and attentive. They brought a singer with good music and vibes. It is very near the ferry walking and safe distance. Air conditioning was good and hot water was excellent. I hope to return again soon.

Room was clean on arrival, but was not cleaned or clean towels given during 5 day stay. Nice outdoor sitting area. Nice views from balcony. Nice Continental breakfast included. I'll be back!

This was my first stay here, but it will be my go to place for future visits, which will be at least yearly. Room is spacious, bright and clean. I ate in the courtyard every day! Delicious food, friendly, helpful staff and a VERY REASONABLE price. You have to try the salmon - both blackened and grilled - excellent. Management was helpful - starting with booking the room - and throughout my visit. The inn is within easy walking distance to the docks, shopping, supermarket, laundromat, even a drug store! Far less money than a big resort, but as convenient and comfortable as any of them!

Great place to stay, don’t expect a resort!

Tamarind Inn is a great place for a family on a budget to stay. It’s no frills but safe and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is an afterthought and not substantial. However, they do offer, for the best price in town, the best breakfast for the money in St. John. All the locals will stop by to eat breakfast here. So if you are a family on a budget, this is the place for you! We had a great time with the Tamarind as our base.
