Clean and normally peaceful. I love it. I was delighted to see that a pool was added. But ... hockey teams were present. If the pool addition means that it is gonna become noisy like the super 8 with groups of kids on buses ... then the hotel is not me any more. Sorry to say. The 10 person pool was unavailable to residents from 4 pm to 10 pm! Same at 9 in the morning. ( I was out in the day time. ) Way more kids in there than 10. 15 kids in the normally quiet spa, mostly unsupervised. They ran from spa to sauna. 10 of them in sauna. It was bad enough that one evening, i stayed at a friends place. I had no incentive to come and spend the evening and morning at the hotel full of kids with no access to pool and spa. I did not even dare go to breakfast with all these kids! I ate out! I shall return to the excelcior hotel in the country side where they added 2 stand alone spa for adults only. The also are a little better at enforcing the rules. St-Jerome has limited options. The Best Western is too pricy. The super 8 is a zoo of kids and now the comfort inn has joined the rank of super 8. I would have paid way less out of St-Jerome. Sadly I spent more to be able to enjoy the new pool ... that was not really available to adult-calm residents.
I always stay there when I go see my dad. There are 3 hotels in this town and that is the best as far as value for money. Great service, quiet, convenient, clean, everything that I need! I would consider one small improvement: When I get out of the spa, as a single women at night, the gap between the door of the spa and the door of the main building is scary. You are standing there in your swim suit, in a little passage, and I feel vulnerable as I fiddle to put my hotel card/key in the door. Just a thought :-)
It was an okay hotel. Breakfast is served very limited hours.
The hotel is quiet, it has a great outdoor hot tub, a huge one! No need to wait your turn to go in 4 at the time like at other hotels! You can swim in it! It closes a little early at night, what is a shame since it is such a nice tub. It would be nice to soak in there until 11 or midnight! There was a night that the jets were half working and not working another night but I still enjoyed the tub! I will stay there again!
