Great house! Some additions would make perfect
Great house with comfortable furniture & beds, easy access to the beach, GREAT porch. Loved the outdoor shower. Not 5 star because one toilet was broken, communication with Vacasa was bad (didn’t send the door code!), and kitchen amenities were lacking - no basic supplies at all, and cookware was pretty lame. Also note no beach supplies (chairs, wagon) to borrow. Nice house but don’t stay again.

Sea Pines Cottage was a perfect spot for us. It was about 1 1/2 blocks from the beach. The house was the right size and we loved the screened porch! We are looking forward to returning to St George Island in the near future.

Beautiful home in idyllic setting
This recently remodeling home is set in a gorgeous part of St George Island. Although you can't see the ocean, you can hear the waves and it is a short, shaded walk to get there to the ocean. The screened back porch is so relaxing and private. Sitting out there and listening to the birds in the morning is so peaceful.
We did have issues with the property management service (Vacasa). It is difficult/impossible to contact anyone local, as all calls to the management company are routed to an answering service that is not local or familiar with the local area. We also had issues getting the pass needed to enter the Plantation through the gated entrance. Resolving this required multiple phone calls to Vacasa and two visits to the Plantation office to resolve. Since we were one of the first renters for these new owners, hopefully these issues are kinks that can be worked out for future renters.
