Le Sereno Hotel is superb! The Combination of nature, sophistication, great service and the attention to details makes this hotel a MUST visit in St Barth! The stuff at the hotel, From Frank, the onsite sub manager, to the service at the pool and restaurant, will treat you like royalty! One of a kind experience!
The best thing about this hotel besides the beautiful rooms and amenities is the staff at Le Sereno. Must give my hands down clap to Teddy at the restaurant. He is the most efficient and friendly waiter at any restaurant we've known. Also, Constance who we saw bring our luggage to the room by herself and wouldn't allow us to do it ourselves. Sigfried (in French, can't pronounce) at the pool and everyone there became like our family. They thought of every detail and went beyond what we asked; from snorkels to paddle boards to taking more than one towel for our road trips and making our dinner reservations each evening. We never remember anyone's name, but here, it was different. The Portuguese fellow also was well trained. Everyone there, even the manager is under 30 and the whole island of St. Barth's is run by young folks. The beach is very shallow so you can walk really far and still have the water reach below your waist. We counted 16 turtles nesting under the water from one brief paddle to the next door hotel. The beach has plenty of restaurants, kiteboarding rental and diving, lobsters on the beach and 3 other hotels on that same Grand Cul de Sac. Will certainly visit again. The rooms are amazing and the shower and bathrooms bespoke.
The setting is something quite special, and the service was the friendliest most professional service we have every experienced. We stayed just one night, but could have done more. We stayed in the garden cottages.. ours was number 18 which had a lovey view of the garden, pool and ocean. Would highly recommend it. It was the perfect end to our Caribbean holiday.
My wife and I stayed for four relaxing nights at this beautiful hotel on the Grand Cul de Sac. As June is out of season, at times we felt like the entire hotel and staff were solely there for us. Another highlight of the hotel is the location on the beautiful sheltered lagoon, where you can sit and watch the kite surfers and other water sports activities from the shoreline (or participate yourself). As others have mentioned, the beach is very narrow and not the best for walking or jogging and the access into the lagoon forces you to walk through some rocky and not sandy areas. However, you can wade around a quarter mile out into the lagoon as the water is mostly very shallow. There is a nice pool at the hotel that overlooks the lagoon. Our hotel room was beautifully designed and furnished and included free functioning Wi-Fi and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms (this was a standard room) and a separate sitting area with partially covered porch. The folks that worked at the hotel were professional and very friendly and personable. A nice extra was the free breakfast each day. For other meals, you can either eat at the hotel (limited Italian menu) or at other restaurants along the beach (at least two other options) or rent a car and drive to any of the superb restaurants on the island (see separate reviews). Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and we have already booked our return trip for next year.
We stayed at Le Sereno from May 20th to 24th for our 20th wedding anniversary. Starting before we even arrived Le Sereno exceeded our expectations. They checked in a week in advance to help with dinner reservations and car rental, we were met at the airport in St. Marten and again when we landed in St. Bart. Vincent is amazing and the entire staff was friendly, attentive and went above and beyond way to make sure every detail was perfect. The location on Grand Cul de Sac is beautiful. While there are better beaches on St. Barts the water is great for SUP and kayaking and the views are great. Definitely recommend Le Sereno
This was our 3rd time in St. Barths and we just love the island! We chose Le Sereno based on friends' recommendation and so we could try a new place after staying at the Isle de France before. Le Sereno is simply chic. The hotel is located on a beach that looks more like a pool. The bad thing about the beach is the huge amount of algae close the sand. In order to swim, you have to take a boat or a stand-up paddle to the natural pools a few meters in. It's beautiful! There are huge turtles swimming right next to you. The hotel structure is good. The pool is nice and there are several nice spots to relax. Our room was great. Nice view and just the right size. The air conditioning was kind of old and noisy though. We had a couple complaints about the shower. First, not enough water pressure and one day water just stopped coming out. They weren't quick enough to bring us more bath bubbles we requested so we could take a bath instead but quickly fixed the shower after we left for dinner. The spa was good. Pricey but ok. My husband liked his massage but mine was average... We only had breakfast at the hotel, and it was ok. Not a huge variety but tasty. We had told them we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary but nobody remembered that nor gave us anything to celebrate with. The concierge was very helpful though before and during our stay. Finally, there was an annoying construction going on right next to the hotel and there was a loud noise all day long for 3 of the 5 days we were there... and nobody in the hotel knew anything about it, how long it was going to go for and which days we could expect more silence... All in all, for the price you pay, I would expect perfection and it wasn't at all perfect. Thus why I gave it an average evaluation. My hypothesis is that the staff is way too young. They didn't seem trained enough for luxury. All very nice people, but definitely need more training. I will try the Eden Rock next time.
My stay at this hotel was amazing. Vienna Spieler and the rest of the staff made sure to make my trip extraordinary. Vienny Spieler is the definition of a gentleman with a suttle approach. The hotel staff is genuinely friendly and accommodating in every way. The guys working at the pool were great, as well as the staff at the front desk. I happy to recommend this hotel to all of my friends. Best regards, Jonas
Fantastic day at the Sereno. The general manager, Samy, for the last four years has transformed this hotel into a world class destination. His care for detail, quality and service is unsurpassed on this island. Undoubtedly the best meal we have had on the island for many years. His staff is professional, courteous and attentive. I am so glad that we have rediscovered this gem. Thank you Samy and the Sereno!
Beautiful, private & special place. As soon as you step into the open air lobby, you know you chose the right place. Staff was great, especially the wonderfully nice guys at the pool. A wonderful escape from your busy life at home!
The staff at Le Sereno hotel makes all the difference in the world. Let alone the hotel itself is a haven of peace and tranquility, but the staff makes sure you have an unforgettable holiday. Vincent at the front desk welcomes you with a warm smile the minute you set foot in the hotel and he pays attention to every single detail and attends to your every need. The decor and the design is chic and sophisticated with an air of simplicity and refined taste of island living. This hotel is truly and oasis in St. Barths. It's the ultimate hotel for understated luxury and unparalleled service. Highly recommended. Make sure to ask for Vincent the moment you enter this spot of paradise in St. Barthélemy.
