Great stay

I would love to give them 5 star but a few things prevent that. The TV was small in comparison to the room. The channel selection was limited. My biggest issue was the shower. It took a long time to get the water hot and then it would go cold during the shower. The location couldn't be better. Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Ellie was a very gracious hostess. The breakfast was great. The place could really use a deep cleaning. Overall a great 4 star experience

A large old house repurposed for lodging, as expected. Charming atmosphere and furnishings. Door into our room is misaligned with its door knob, practically falling off and its pass-through bolt inside, very difficult to engage. The same for the closet door, which also connects to the adjacent guest room. We arrived early, but the building was locked and empty. When we came back, the owner was there to greet us and show us around. She informed us that we would be the only occupants in the property during our stay. Shortly we left to explore the town. The following morning, we were shocked and disappointed to find a missing bottle of perfume. We we left a voicemail to the owner (Unfortunately I don’t recall her name) concerning the theft plus, informed the young lady who prepared our breakfast. By the way, breakfast was delicious. We are very disappointed that no-one returned our call.

We enjoyed our stay at Penny Farthing. It was a great location convenient to restaurants and shopping. Our room was small, but very cozy and had everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again if in St. Augustine.

Close to town but not right in the middle. Great breakfast. We also had a cute porch with rockers to sit out back.

Management was not reasonable about cancelation. They refused to accept a cancelation fee though they had months of lead time. Be careful

Wonderful Place

We had a great experience. Very cute, quiet and quaint. Easy walk to everything in the historic district and close to the beach. Annie was a wonderful host! If you don’t want the “busy” of a traditional hotel, here’s your place.

Ideal location, Nice inn

The inn is beautiful though it needs alittle attention. The rain gutters are growing trees, the outside and porch need to be powerwashed, replace the deck chairs as almost all of them had uneven legs and breaks and the tableclothes were never changed and were quite soiled. the room itself was clean an comfortable but needs a deep clean once a month or so. very dusty on hardwood floor in corners and under bed. The service provided by annie was spectacular. she was very accomodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was very good but they only offer three different meals on a rotation. The owner is very nice but seems a bit scared. it just needs a little attention to details. the book in the room had been full for some time so i purchased a new book and left it there. perfect location, very quiet. Very much enjoyed our stay
