Our first impression of the house was fantastic. The rooms, living spaces, and back patio with its outdoor furniture were all wonderful. The location was ideal for our first day at the beach, and we were looking forward to enjoying the pool on the second day.
On the first day, we noticed that the pool was uncomfortably hot. We contacted the Host and were informed that the temperature issue might be due to the weather. We tried to cool it down using a hose, but by the next morning, the pool was still excessively hot. We checked the water heater and found that the pool temperature was reading 103 degrees.
We were advised to turn off the breaker, but unfortunately, it was too late for the water to cool down enough for us to use it. Despite multiple requests for someone to come check the pool, no one visited, and the Host seemed to believe the discomfort with the temperature was just a matter of personal preference.
We appreciate that the Host offered compensation for the inconvenience caused by the pool issue, which was a positive gesture. However, it would be helpful if there were more proactive checks or responses to such concerns, especially when guests report issues with amenities like the pool.
