Our group had an amazing time and experience in St Andrews. Culminating with us playing the Old Course!!
The stay at the Monksholm House was very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed being together in one property. The home location is excellent, with just a short drive into St Andrews. We totally recommend staying at this property!!
House is amazing, perfect for a large family group. The location is excellent with amazing views all around and especially over looking the estuary. The bedrooms with en suite were very welcome, everyone said the beds were very comfy too. The games room was an added bonus as the men love playing pool, putting and darts. Would highly recommend. There was an issue on arrival with the cleaners but the host was on hand to deal with immediately and she was very friendly too.

Up to date and very clean kitchen and rooms. Bathrooms in each of the bedrooms on 2nd floor is nice and shared bathroom for 3rd floor rooms are great. Nice outdoor patio. Short drive to downtown st Andrew’s. Didn’t really notice the person and seemed friendly when we did but there is a person staying on the other side of the house. Plenty of room for our 9 but I thought we had the wrong house because there was a car in the driveway and a woman in what looked like the house. Guessing this is a duplex or some type of apartment setting. She has a small dog and was friendly when we saw her and never heard her when we were inside but caught me off guard from the listing. It was a great place and recommend anyone looking for a quiet spot near st Andrew’s.
We were traveling with 4 couples and two 20 y/o. The home was a perfect place to settle in locally while we enjoyed St Andrews golf just minutes away, and travel to other Edinburgh-area landmarks.
The only trouble we had was learning the appliances if you're coming from the US. They had a full instruction binder to follow which helped. Also note that the unit has a vent-less dryer which is pretty slow at drying clothes.
Highly recommend getting a rental car if you make the trip...we had two and they were perfect for local travel and site-seeing. [just watch out for a rock that just out on the road towards the home! ]
We would 100% recommend this location to any group coming to St. Andrews area.
