We needed to stay near St Albans and this was a good choice for us (2 adults, 2 kids). The hotel was well maintained, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast had a lot of options. The kids enjoyed the pool.
Comfortable stop in the beauty of Franklin County.
clean, bed was comfortable, courteous staff but could improve air conditioning control in rooms and hall ways. Bland interior with small window.
The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Thanks Judy for making our stay great !
Thank you this was a convenient location for accommodations while in the area for a Customs Exam.
We have stayed here a few times now. Always clean. There was lots of young kids there this weekend for a hockey tournament making it a little loud until 8 pm.
Quick overnight stay; lot less expensive than staying in Burlington
we found st Albans a bit out of Burlington but close to the Canadian border, so it turned out OK for us. The downtown section was quaint and charming with a good choice of restaurants. There were no outside benches or seats at all. I find that was missing.
We had a very nice stay, the staff was great. Loved the breakfast.
Very good experience and would recommend to friends. ......................................Very nice area and close to the border.
The front desk staff was unfriendly and uninformed. The hotel "gym" consisted of a tiny room with one bike, one stepper, and one treadmill. The pool was nice, albeit with rust stains. the room was cramped the shower head was too low for a tall person (I couldn't get my head under it standing up), and the front desk staff had little to no knowledge of the local area.
La Quinta Inn is a modern, clean facility with a satisfying breakfast. It's just 10 minutes by taxi from the Amtrack railroad station. This is the nothern terminal for the daily round trips of of Amtrack's State of Vermont-funded "Vermonter" from Washington, DC, New York and New Haven, CT. The train is often late, but La Quinta has a contract to lodge Amtarack's crews who get there, as did I, via the reliable local Swanton Taxi Service whose office is right inside the Amrak station. Importantly, it all worked well for me going to St Albans and returning home to Connecticut.
I was surprised at how good this hotel turned out to be. Their continental breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were spacious, very clean and well priced. I will definitely be staying here before. I usually can't sleep in the Marriot/Holiday Inn places as their HVAC is too loud, but this place was nice and quiet.
I was asked to travel to St Albans for work. The hotel provided an experience that matches the price. The room was ok - mismatched furniture, etc. The staff was nice and helpful. The heater in the room made the room so hot that I was sweating all night. Overall, the room was inexpensive and fair.
The staff was couteous and polite, the room was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
All places were booked on Burlington. Found this place last minute on Orbitz. Located just off the highway. Had supper at One Federal Restaurant- nice little place with pretty good food. Staff who greeted us was very informative and friendly.
I wish that you offered breakfast until 10 am
Room was clean. Service was polite. They allowed us to put three young children in a bed, plus a crib. We would stay there again.
Clean, nice, reasonable priced place to stay.
We rented a car and drove to the historic sites around St. Albans and then drove to Burlington and spent the rest of the day there visiting the historic and other sites there. Had to turn the car in by 11:00 a.m. so we had to spent the afternoon in the hotel since we had no car and my husband has arthritis in his ankle and couldn't walk the distance. It would be lovely if it was close enough to visit some of the stores down town. Or the hotel could offer a shuttle - even if we had to pay a small fee for it, it would be better than having to hire a cab. The hotel cost plenty, it would be great if they offered a way down town. We have not been in that area before, but most hotels we visit DO offer a shuttle - AT LEAST TO AND FROM THE TRAIN DEPOT. There is not even a restaurant close by where you can eat without taking a taxi cab.
