Cheap Hotels in St. Albans, VT

"The property manager is easy to deal with and took care of our questions before we showed up. Accessing the property was straightforward. The property appears to include an original portion and an addition. The original portion includes the kitchen and bathroom, these rooms are somewhat dated (think old school cottage) but certainly adequate. The addition is more modern and has a pleasant "beach house" feel. The waterfront is accessed by exiting the house through the door that faces the road, and then going down a set of exterior stairs that lead to a covered section and then to a dock. The dock is sufficiently sturdy and includes space for chairs (great "coffee in the morning" spot). The local town of St. Albans is about 10 minutes away and includes coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries which are pleasant. The location has significant vegetation and is best for boat-based activities and fishing, we did not find the nearshore area to be conducive to wading/swimming. Although Kill Kare state park is nearer, we preferred Sand Bar state park for those activities. The wifi was in and out, we did not contact the property manager because it gave us an excuse to unplug."
