This was a good hotel to stay in whilst in Kandy. Staff were helpful and very smiley. Our room was very clean and the view from our room was cool! The buffet food was varied and we were spoilt for choice which was great. The drinks served at the bar weren’t very good and cocktails were served warm so we did ask for ice. The pool is small but good for a swim after a long day exploring. There is a band that plays in the evenings over dinner which do offer to sing to your table if you would like them to. It’s a pleasant hotel in a good location for a trip to Kandy.

We were not sure about this choice because of the pictures, but after all it was nice. Location is good above the city with good view. Very nice reception and restaurant, with good food - better then average. Room was rather small and noisy, but for 1 night it was doable. For short stay it worked.

Marvellous on the outside, run down on the inside. Best part of this hotel is the hillside terrace with great views of the city, nice pool and pleasant restaurant. The rooms, however, haven’t been renovated in quite some time, and ours had a lingering damp and musty smell. The A/C unit was also very old and as noisy as a diesel truck engine. Sheets could also use an upgrade. The service is very attentive - at times a bit too attentive in the restaurant. Overall, the outdoor space made it a pleasant stay, but don’t expect much from the rooms.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week. We were out most of the day so only really slept in the hotel and had the breakfast which was tasty enough. The room was spacious and clean although we didn't have a balcony and much of a view but as we were out all day this didn't bother us. Only downside was they only give 2 small water bottles per day, any extra are charged and sometimes there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drains. On the 2nd night our electricity also went out we called reception and they sent someone to fix it straight away. Apart from that it was fine. Bed was comfortable and staff were pleasant too.

We were traveling with 3 young kids and booked the suite for 1 night. The room was basic but very spacious so perfect for a family with young kids. The ac wasn't great though as only cooling part of the room. The room was clean. We tried the diner buffet and it was fine. Nice staff, enough choice of dishes to find something you like (some of them far too spicy for our liking though), nice setting. The pool area isn't big but actually it seems to be sufficient, we were the only ones in the pool that morning. The lifeguard was really kind and went to get balls for the kids. Overall nice experience for our short stay.

This is my second time at this hotel and I am very satisfied about my stay here. The staff is great! The food is good. The room and the bathroom need some improving but overall nlce hotel with amazing staff!!!

Was given a really nice spacious room, good bathroom and balcony.Pity there was no shelving to put clothes on. Food was great, staff were very helpful and polite.Monkeys can be seen making there way to town early mornings, also saw two mongoose playing by the pool at 6 am.Hotel is much bigger than it looks but has a cosy feel to it,would definately stay here next time in Kandy

Lovely welcome, the receptionist was very sweet and very helpful. The pool area was lovely, although not enough sun beds for the amount of people staying. Breakfast and evening meal good. Our room was a little tired, especially the bathroom. On their email it stated free shuttle to and from the railway station, we emailed to say the time of our train, but the shuttle wasn't there when we got to the station, so we just got a tuk tuk to the hotel, at our expense. On checkout we asked for the free shuttle, we felt they very reluctantly ordered us a tuk tuk, but the guy obviously worked for the hotel (he had a hotel shirt on), anyone who has been to Sri Lanka will know that tuk tuk drivers are very chatty, this driver did not say a word the whole way and when my wife was getting out with her heavy rucksack, he just stood and didn't offer to help at all, then just drove off without saying a word! So rude. We would not stay at this hotel again.

One night from 23-24 March. The best hotel-food (breakfast and dinner) so far! Nice clean bedrooms with a nice view. We did not see any monkeys even then I was told it’s a lot of monkeys there. We would chose this hotel again.

We had two nights here in Kandy. For the short stay it was probably a bit further from the city than you would like but equally being in the city would have meant it would have been much noisier and it was an easy tuk tuk ride/25 minute stroll around the lake to the town. This is situated a little further round the lake and a little way up a small hill round. The room we had was absolutely massive, clean and everything you could expect (tidy, newish bathroom etc.) on the second floor with a view over the pool. Unfortunately there is construction work going on next door so that mars the view but it wasn’t a massive noise problem. We loved the pool here and it was really nice spot to while away a few hours in the afternoon after a day of sight seeing. They are also happy to do drinks and snacks here. In the evening we ate here but because we had had a really late lunch we weren’t very hungry so we wanted to eat from the a la carte rather than the buffet. The staff did their very best to persuade us to have the buffet (presumably because it’s more expensive than most a la carte meals and easier for the chef) so we had to be quite insistent that we knew what we wanted. However, the chicken curry that I ordered was tasty and came in the traditional bowls and side dishes you learn to hope for in every restaurant. All in all, a couple of small things they could have done better and it’s nothing super special but we felt this was worth the money and our stay was very pleasant.
