Wonderful service. Jacob was very helpful during check-in. Breakfast was unexpectedly delicious. Probably one of the best French toast dishes I have ever had. Two layers of bread with a creamy sweet filling topped with fresh fruit. We were in a junior suite and the room was spacious and comfortable. So happy we stayed there.

Villa Split has well appointed rooms that make one feel like one is staying in a old, well preserved building. We loved the exposed wooden beams and the furnishings. The staff is fabulous - friendly and helpful. The location, within the Diocletian's Palace is perfect. A couple of drawbacks: -The bathroom is very small. -At night we could hear loud partygoers for a few hours longer than ideal, but perhaps that would be the case anywhere else within the palace. -Toiletries are provided in small, single use plastic bottles, which most hotels have moved away from since those are not as eco-friendly as dispensers.

Overall, we really like this hotel – be careful to understand that they have no elevator and there is no way to drive up to the hotel. Meaning you have to be dropped off and get luggage carried over or both two and from the hotel. Also, the amenities were pretty bad, considering a four-star hotel From shampoo to conditioner to not have wash cloths, etc. You also have to ask for Ice each time there is no Ice Machine but the staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel is very quaint and lovely. Rooms have stone walls dating back a 1000 years. Location is great. Evana and staff took care of our every need including arranging travel and carrying our bags to drop off points.

What an amazing find right in the middle of where all of the shopping and action are. The staff helped us in every way and they did it with a smile on their face and always wanted to do more. Absolutely amazing hotel - the location cannot be beaten, perfectly situated in the old town close to loads of restaurants and 2 minutes walk from the port. Beautiful room, delicious breakfast and wonderful staff. They helped us with our bags to and from the taxi, and helped me call an Uber to go home and stayed with us until he arrived. The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful and really made our stay. Soundproofed windows in the room are a godsend by the way!

We loved the personal, attentive service from everyone at Villa Split. Zoran, Jackof, and Marjanne were friendly and helpful at every interaction. The arranged transport, tours, helped us find an ATM (without exorbitant fees), and recommended some outstanding restaurants. The location was perfect, centrally located within the palace, and always a five-minute walk to everything. Our room had a lot of character, it was clean and comfortable. Daily fresh breakfast offerings were yummy, I especially liked the Acai bowl. If I am fortunate enough to return to Split, I would want to stay here again. I recommend Villa Split to anyone.

The staff was excellent in every way and they communicated with us online before and during our trip there. They were attentive, helpful and friendly. Everyone was happy to speak English which was very courteous. The rooms are clean and updated but maintain a unique authentic feel with their surroundings within the ancient palace. There are stairs, as to be expected. Fewer suitcases is always an advantage.
