What a great hotel. Clean, comfortable and the most friendliest and helpful of staff. Rooms are cleaned every day. Great O2 bar (coctail whit oksigen) Nothing is too much trouble and always greeted with a genuine smile. Only 30 minutes walk to the old town where there are plenty of restaurants and cafe bars. Big comfy sleigh bed with good quality pillows and sheets. Nice to get into a clean, fresh smelling bed at the end of a busy day.
I stayed for two nights in the Hotel Sveti Kriz and my stay was quite pleasant. I had a nice pink room, dinner and breakfast were good (coffee wasn't that good) and the location was nice. I especially liked that there weren't that many quest in the hotel (late season) and the beach was empty and you were able to relax and enjoy the beach and sea with only couple of people. It was a kind of retreat. I might go back.
I spent one city-break there with my family. Location is very nice as it is not far from the old town Trogir, but also offers some peace and nice beach just in front of the hotel. Service was nice and for the breakfast I can only say the best words. Swimming pool is of a decent size and clean. Would recommend it definitely!
I've spent a week here, at the end of August, and beginning of September, and really enjoyed my stay. I don't really like hot climate, in the sun, it was quite hot, but apparently Croatian summer is gentler if you're in the shadows on the terraces. The rooms are elegant and clean, and allow for good rest. Arbanija is close to Trogir, you can take a boat there for 20 kuna, and enjoy the beautiful architecture and historical monuments. The hotel is literally 25 m from the beach (which is pretty rocky, I'd suggest wearing some swimming shoes), and there is also a swimming pool, so one can take quick dips inbetween activities. When it comes to food, lunches always come with a vegetarian option, dinners and breakfasts offer a wide variety of items you can freely choose. The hotel has a beach bar aswell, that appears to be quite popular among locals, if you like staying up late. I've really enjoyed my stay :)
We stayed in Hotel Sveti Kritz for a week, we had a large balcony with the most beautiful sea view. The room was very spacious, modern and clean with a small fridge. As with other places we stayed in Croatia there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We did feel that the room lacked maintenance because some of the fittings were loose like the towel rail and handle to open the shower. Breakfast was a good selection of cooked and continental style foods available to choose from. If you came down at 9ish the restaurant was very busy and frequently there was not enough cutlery of cups. The staff worked tirelessly collecting crockery and keeping the food topped but could not keep up with the number of people staying. The pool has been covered with a roof, I am sure this was meant to keep the area shady but we felt the roof took away all atmosphere and the pool was rarely used the week we stayed. We used to go to the beach which was just across the road. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, a boat taxi to Trogir leaves hourly is only 2 minutes from hotel and is a lovely way to travel out for the evening meal.
We booked a room for one night coming back from the islands before flying the next day. It was the cheapest room I could find near Split...and boy was there a reason. No wifi in the rooms, despite advertising to the contrary. The advertised a/c barely spit out air much less cold air. We didn't sleep at all due to the heat in the room and when we opened the door to the balcony, the crowds and traffic were booming until midnight. We walked to the hotel restaurant for dinner which was blasting pop music at top volume, so we left without eating (found a very nice seafood place down the way). To be fair there were some positives: my husband stayed for breakfast and the food was nothing special but good. The hotel staff were very nice, and the room was clean and good-sized. Wouldn't recommend to come here in season but if you are keen on Čiovo, I guess it would be okay in Sep.
This is NOT a hotel we would choose to stay, but was the accommodation the company we were doing our adventure holiday booked people to stay. This is a very, very tired hotel! The rooms are compact, with a fridge (ours froze our drinks as there wasn't a thermostat control). Unfortunately our rooms were located just above street level in front of the main road and any one from the main road can access the hallway to our rooms without being noticed as there was no lock to the access door or any form of security. Our rooms were also immediately underneath the terrace restaurant area, so any movement (walking, running, moving of chairs and tables was pretty much non stop!). The walls are paper tin to the point we were having conversations with our children next door in their room despite the wall! Obviously the same can be said about our neighbours conversation on the opposite wall. Then there's the awful blue fluorescent light which was the main light to the room. It truly hurt our eyes and it made me feel quite sick. The curtains just about covered the width of the window. The safe worked after the battery was replaced. The phone did not allow us to call room to room, but as the walls were so thin we just talked a little louder to talk to our children! The shower in our children's room was dark and dingy and the shower curtain was in desperate need of replacing. I didn't dare go in the pool. The water looked quite cloudy. The kids did use the pool and I comforted myself at the thought it was heavily chlorinated! We had half board booked during our stay. Again, from experience I don't book half board or all inclusive if I can help it and with the food served at dinner at this hotel it certainly reminded me why I didn't! Plenty of choice for sure, but just about edible. WARNING the metal serving spoons and tongs got very hot under the hot buffet baine-marie lights. Highlight - fresh fruit! Breakfast was a little better, but thankfully the fresh fruit and a couple of slices of cake was sufficient for me. On occasions we had lunch served to us as a group and some of the meals served was OK, or was it because I was beginning to starve?! On a positive note, I would like to say the staff who worked in the bar/restaurant of the hotel and I think the two women also covered house keeping were an asset to the hotel! Needless to say, I would not be happy to recommend Hotel Sveti Kriz!
Everything was great, rooms are very tidy and well decorated.Food is really delicious, staff is very polite and helpfull and the beach is absolutely stunning!! It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner.
It was excellent!i enjoyed staying here.the staff and everyone here were so kind and helpful...can't wait to come back to this place.the sea view and the terrace were beautiful as hell.there was a boat line, bus line, resaurant, souveniers they had everything!!
We were in Croatia in July and we lived in this hotel. It's a cozy hotel, we lived in the building near the sea. We had a terrace from which we could see a wonderful view(sunsets were amazing). Everything is pretty close to it. There is ATM< supermarket, beach, cafes, bus and boat stops. So it was easy to go to Trogir. If you are going by boat/bus to the city, you can see their timetables at the hotel or you can just ask hotel staff. Unfortunately, the agency that welcomed us was really horrible. Our vacation was almost destroyed. But thanks to the hotel stuff that helped us a lot!(really a lot), they helped us organize an excursion to Krka National Park, book taxis and even helped us in need(we were hurrying and our taxi didn't come, so one of the staff asked her colegue to drive us to the bridge, so we were almost in the old town. And it was not far away from the bus terminal). And it's just a little part of everything they did to us. They rescued our vacation. The staff there is very freidnly and helpful, they care a lot about their guests. A little bit about food, we had breakfasts there, there are lots of different food, so everyone can find at least one thing they would like. If you're going to Croatia, check out this hotel, you will not regret :)
