Sail Mountain Cottage is a delightful, cozy cottage nestled in a private wooded setting close to plenty of outdoor activities. A spacious, sunny deck creates a wonderful spot for relaxing. Acadia National Park trails and mountains and a golf course are within easy walking distance. Area lakes and the town of Southwest Harbor are just minutes away by car. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park's Park Loop Road are 20 minutes away. The perfect spot to enjoy your Mount Desert Island vacation. Saturday to Saturday booking required. 3 bedrooms with, king bed, double bed, and 2 twin beds. Well equipped cottage with outdoor seating for dining and gas grill.

Hikers Paradise

Great quiet location within a short drive or bus ride to trails, shopping and restaurants! Well appointed house with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water for our family of four! We enjoyed bbq’n on the deck. Perfect for our needs! 🙂👍

Excellent location, clean and comfortable

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Southwest Harbor location. You can walk to several hiking trails from the cottage. While the cottage is tucked away off of the main road and felt very private, it was very convenient to the town and many of the NPS locations located on the quiet side. The cabin itself was very clean and well equipped. Many thanks to the wonderful hosts Ingrid and John!

A calm spot in the woods!!

We had a really nice and relaxing stay at Sail Mountain Cottage in late August 2023. It is very convenient to SW Harbor with lots of nice restaurant options, but with less of the 'overload' bustle of Bar Harbor. The house was comfortable and very clean, it was a great home base for our vacation!

We met up with old friends we hadn’t seen in 20 years to explore Acadia. Sail Mountain Cottage was a perfect place for us to stay. Very clean, quiet and convenient. Would highly recommend!
