This place is in an excellent location, close to so many things to do but out of the hubbub of busy Bar Harbor. This upstairs apartment is cute and with a little attention could be perfect. It had nearly everything we needed (and Susan quickly arranged to have missing pillows delivered). Upon our arrival, the space smelled musty due to it being a warm day and all the windows closed and a/c turned off. A good airing out before guests arrive would help. The sofa bed mattress was really lumpy, but tbh, I’ve never found a sofa bed that was comfy. The sheets on the main bed also smelled musty. The towel rack in the bathroom was pulled out of the wall. Also, it would be helpful if the parking spaces were marked (#1,#2,#3) because there are three separate units sharing the three parking spaces. A couple of times the guests staying in the back unit parked behind our car making it difficult to get out of our space. None of these issues were insurmountable, and for the price, this place worked well for us. My daughter and I had a lovely stay in Southwest Harbor.
