This exquisite little hotel is an architectural gem, beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms with sumptuous bathrooms, designed for luxury getaways. No food service is offered, except a token continental morning starter, but ample dining is available within walking distance. Hotel staff is very helpful, friendly and discreet. We would gladly have spent more nights here, and heartily recommend the Carlton for a unique experience.

Decor, hotel quality, and cleanliness was excellent. Lots of great amenities included. Guest service was friendly and efficient. Important to note that there is no elevator. Also, glassed in bathroom was not very private and sound through ceiling and room door was very noticeable.

Room looked good and was comfortable. Great, friendly staff and good cleaning in the room. The continental breakfast served to the room was perhaps not to the same "level" of quality as the rest of the hotel experience. There was some road noise at times, being on the front and potentially due to the single glazing. I'd suggest requesting a room on the back if you are a light sleeper. Overall an enjoyable stay

The location was walkable to everything in the charming town of Southampton. We stayed a couple nights before getting on a cruise ship. I recommend it! The room was very small but the location was very walkable to restaurants and around the block to Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! A+++
