Went for a friends surprise 30th at the Abbey Road below the hotel. The venue is good but the drinks were awful. Pint 1 was San Miguel. Smelled like it was off and tasted no better. Thought it was the toilet I could smell until I tasted the beer! Learning my lesson so pint 2 was An export... either Heineken or Carlsberg... either way it had bore no resemblance. Smelled sour and tasted of vinegar. My partner had 2 glasses of wine and both were "ropey" at best! Party was great but the booze was shocking and 2 unfinished pints were more than enough for me... we left never to return, my advice is to avoid. There's much better places to drink in Doncaster!

From arriving at the hotel we were greeted in a very friendly manor. The reception area was clean and tidy .Due to arriving very early we were allowed to sort out what room we would be in even though the rooms were not ready and could park our cars in the car park straight away. The bar was not open at this stage but the staff did get us some refreshments on arrival.after being out at the tattoo jam all day we returned to the hotel to get ready to go out for the evening again a very warm welcome by the staff and the owner of the hotel. The hotel is very close to the pubs so is ideal. When we arrived back to the hotel after a great night out we sat in the bar area with our takeaway and order drinks from the bar again the manager was sat in the bar and we spent a good amount of time talking to him and his staff .nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The hotel is very clean at all times.on Sunday when we checked out of the hotel the manager and staff all came over and thanked us for our custom and asked how we were.Would fully recommend staying here

Top class service with attention to detail. As it was a special occasion we were presented with a birthday cake with candle which was not ordered so a very nice personal touch. Could not eat it though as we were full up from the lovely sandwiches and chocolate. Family run so not the normal run of the mill hotel, I would highly recommend this venue for parties.

We got married her on the 29/7/17 and it was simply the best day of our lives. Jennifer our wedding coordinator was amazing from the day we booked to the end of the big day she was determined to make sure our day was perfect. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The food was to die for from the wedding breakfast to the evening buffet it was gorgeous. The room looked stunning and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure it always looked beautiful. We stayed in the park view suite and with it's views of the square, lovely comfy bed and lovely decoration it finished our day off perfectly. To anyone thinking of getting married here if say do it it's worth every penny.

Stayed here for one night in a room overlooking the park. We arrived at about 4pm, and parked in their car park - it's a small car park so I suspect not everyone gets parked. We were checked in pleasantly and quickly. The room was upstairs. The room itself was a good size, but with a small bathroom. It was very very warm, no air con, no fan, but the window did open a long way which helped. A good location to walk into town. My only criticism is the room wasn't very clean - lots and lots of dust / cobwebs, particularly around the window area and in the bathroom. I would stay again, better service than the usual chain type hotels.

We had friends have there golden wedding party here ,,,they supplied us with accommodation as we live in Birmingham, The party was in the Abbey Road Suite,,, The hotel rooms were clean and nice,,we had only one issue and that as we had a ground floor room and the Windows could not be opened so found the room very hot when in bed.breakfast was very good,, nice selection on offer and was very busy with guests, To add the Abbey Road Suite for the party was brilliant with a lot of Beatles memorabilia on display ,,, the buffet supplied was very very nice with a very nice selection of food. Certainly would stay here again,,,,as this was only a one night stay.

Stayed for one night. We were in room 2 of the annexe. Lovely big room and bathroom breakfast was lovely although a little expensive at 12.95. .Hotel was central for walking into town which has all the main shops and some quaint coffee shops.

The outside looks more inviting than some of the rooms inside. We initially had room 37, it was small but ok, however the shower had black mouldy around the bottom and one of the doors to the shower was broken. When I complained we were immediately offered a different room which was much nicer but neither look like the room in the photo.

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding as it was just up the road from the Unitarian Church where we had both our wedding and reception. The restaurant food was first class. Breakfast was above average, though the choice of cereals could have been more imaginative. The staff from reception to waiting to cleaning were lovely. Its a shame that the hotel décor is a little faded. If not for that I would have posted five stars. I would certainly recommend it and will probablt stay there on our anniversary.

I stayed in room 27 which had little or wifi which as I am on business was not great. Room was very outdated compared with the reception as you walk in. Plus room 27 is so far out the way and not easy to get to. Great shower though very powerful could have stayed in there all day. Food - had room service first night, ordered at 6:30 and food turned up at 7:45. Had to phone down to reception to find out where it was. Had mushrooms for starters and lasagne which were both excellent even if the food was late. Second night decided to eat in restaurant. Had mushrooms for starter again cause they are that good but had ribs for main. I have never seen ribs served like that before. Only 3 bones and had been well over done in a slow cooked (I guess!!!). All in all not great. Parking is also not good at the hotel very tight. All in all I would not recommend this to my work colleagues. Shame cause I had good expectations.
