One of the better Holiday Inns with nice public spaces and health club. Good parking with easy access from Motorway. Restaurant offered good if somewhat unadventurous food at a reasonable price for this standard of hotel. Breakfast excellent.
My son and his fiancée held their wedding at Warmsworth Hall, in the grounds of the Holiday In, at the end of October. What a fabulous day we all had, very well looked after and everything went so smoothly. It's a lovely place to hold a wedding, giving privacy and a cosy feel to the proceedings. We had the place to ourselves all day and night with the beautiful grounds to use for photographs and for peace and quiet later on ! All the food was excellent and served up by lovely staff. The afternoon tea in particular was a very unusual style of wedding reception but absolutely delicious and very filling. The evening barbeque food went down well with everyone too. We also stayed in the hotel itself after all the celebrations had finished. Lovely comfortable rooms and the breakfast the next morning very welcome. A good range of choices satisfied us all. All in all a very happy occasion in a very nice setting.
Had a first class carvery Sunday lunch; choice of 4 starters, 4 desserts and three succulent meats for mains. Three courses for a modest £18 although one & two courses can be had also - wine is little pricey though. This is the third get together family lunch we've had here this year and the high standard of food and service is definitely consistent. This time we also had an overnight stay - the rooms are quite spacious, well equipped with the usual drink making facilities, iron & board, hair drier etc. the bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows, and an adequate en suite with a good range of toiletries on offer. Our room was ground floor and south facing so we had a gloriously sunny dawn through the floor to ceiling windows. Leisure facilities are also excellent and available free to residents; pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, gym and weights room. Bar prices were reasonable for an hotel, and there was a wide selection of cold and hot fare for breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends - good value for money rates too.
Staff really friendly. Are in restaurant and pleasantly surprised at the standard of food, lovely meal in quiet surroundings. Great breakfast too. Pool small but adequate and opens at 06:30 making a swim before breakfast possible
This has to be the best Holiday Inn in the UK! The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean and the restaurant provides excellent food. There is really good wifi in the rooms and excellent mobile signal too. I found my room to be well equipped and quiet. I have stayed at this Holiday Inn three times now and each one of those visits the hotel has been faultless
Had an overnight stop here, with our chocolate lab, when travelling from London to Scotland. Room was clean and adequate and the dog was happy too which was a bonus! For those staying with dogs, there is a good park five minutes away (turn left and walk straight) for them to have a bit of a run. Did a job for us as somewhere to get our head down for the night. Will no doubt be back again on our next drive north.
Stayed here for two nights while attending training with work, very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, room (228) a little on the snug side but clean and comfortable. Best hotel shower to date though.
Comfortable room excellent for dogs very peaceful .Beware of smoke alarms very sensitive don't over do hair spray . Step carpets need attention as some are torn and dangerous. Will we stay again definitely.
It was my cousin and his wife's 40th wedding anniversary and the kids had set up a surprise party for them. We received our invites and I booked my parents, my husband and myself into the Holiday Inn A1(M1) Junction 36. We arrived around 8pm on the Friday evening to a lovely young lady on reception, who gave us rooms on the 1st floor but I asked if they had anything on ground floor for my parents as mum not to good with stairs and the receptionist said not a problem and gave them the last room downstairs. The rooms were quite big and spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was self service full English or continental buffet, all very fresh and tasty. The bar staff were very friendly as was the rest of the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in the hotel and would recommend a visit be it for one night or more.
Stayed here in July on our way to Newcastle with the family, arrived late at night. Great welcome , nice rooms and a great breakfast the next morning. Hotel very clean and the night staff were extremely accommodating.
