Friendly staff that try to make the best out of this hotel Excellent location in the city center of Bolzano! Huge rooms!!!! Nice breakfast and people with a smile! They allowed us to have early breakfast (we checked out early) The hotel is very old-dated so it feels like traveling back in the past! The beds and rooms are basic and could do with a renovation! The rooms are not very sound proof and the doors dont look secure! Also the room despite clean, does not feel this way.... Expensive for what it is but you pay for the location It is a hotel that has potential!
Great location within the inner city of Bolzano. Especially for the Christmas Markets. A little noisy due to the location. Very accommodating staff. easy walking to all the shops and markets in the city.
The hotel in best location next to Walthers Platz in Bozen. Easy to reach everything from the hotel. The hotel has also a nice cafe where you can enjoy drinks or Sacher Torte and watch the foot traffic. The room was nice, warm, window to the Walthers Platz, but still quiet, very good bed. The only negative point is the small toilet and shower. Not easy for larger people. Breakfast is nice and has everything needed. Parking in the public Walthers Garage for special 18 EUR per day.
We visited Bolzano in 2013 and decided to arrange another visit at Christmas time. The Christmas market in Walther Square was quite magical, particularly as we had arranged a room in the hotel overlooking the square. The hotel lived up to its normal high quality.Staff ,food etc etc was first rate. Well done ,we will return!!
I booked directly with the hotel as same price as other online booking hubs, but the 'hotel ' offered a lovely bonus Christmas package. It is a very easy direct walk from the train Station approx 8 mins. Brings you straight into Piazza Walther. Hotel is prime location - I had booked 'French twin room' #308 huge room, with magic view over the Piazza - rooms with good views will have numbers ending in 1 thru to 8 Our room was large, very comfortable beds, good pillows, lovely linen, kettle/.tea coffee, empty mini bar, room safe easy to use. Bathroom : walk-in shower small vanity with basin, shelves to put own toiletries etc.lovely large fluffy white towels. Room has dbl glazed Windows - ver quiet The built in furniture fit out in the room was quirky/odd not sure if it was dated from the 1950's or an attempt to be modern minimalistic stark. - this is definitely not a negative comment ... as we loved our 3 night stay here. The staff were extremely delightful, helpful, professional , courtesy with a smile - went out of their way to assist - thank you Clara for finding the 'English breakfast tea bags' & delivering the packet of yummy Christmas cookies to our room.. also thank you to the rest of the team at the front desk for Restaurant recommendations and the wonderful warm welcome Breakfast:Very good .. huge variety of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese etc, breads, pastries , eggs, good coffee The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Bolzano on foot Buses & taxis are at the end of the Piazza ( bus #12 for Roncolo Castello) A side trip to Merano is a must plus the cable car to Reno Restaurant recommendations : Il Tinello - best food & service ( booking advisable) I would definitely stay at Hotel Stadt Citta again
Hotel has perfect location - direct in historic downtown. Bar, restaurant has its own charm - especially colonnade. Breakfast was delicious. Room was for us really disappointment. It looks really outdated and need completly refurbisment. Generally wal hotel clean and quiet. Staff was helpful.
If I'm honest I didn't know what to expect when going to Bolzano. It is a stunning town, and the Stadt Hotel Citta is a great place to base a visit. The hotel has a fantastic location on the towns main square. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean and well kept. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in the price.
We recently stayed four nights at the Stadt Hotel Citta in Bolzano. It is located on the Walther Square with easy walking to shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable, though a bit noisy and smokey when we opened our window. If you want more quiet and less smoke, you might ask for a room that's higher than the first floor and is on the same side as the Walther Square. The staff were all very friendly and were willing to help whenever they could. We rented a car, so we took advantage of the discount that the hotel offered on underground parking. The buffet breakfast was delicious! They offered a very large selection of foods, including gluten and dairy free options. We were in hotels for three weeks while we were in Italy, and the buffet breakfast at the Stadt Hotel Citta was the best!!!
Clean and comfortable and reasonably priced it is an older hotel in terms of facilities. Excellent buffet breakfast and sitting on the outside terrace in the Piazza during the late afternoon enjoying an aperitivo, beer or a coffee while looking at the alps is a treat
I stayed here for four nights on my own in September. The hotel was perfectly situated. The breakfasts were great, and the room was comfortable and very clean. My sleep was interrupted on the first two nights as there was a very noisy festival in the square below until very late at night, but I was told this only occurs every two years.
