The room was functional if that's all you need. It lacked a welcoming comfort feeling and felt more like just a "room with a bed" and couch kinda feeling if you catch my drift. The stairway broke on my last day. The parking lot was very uneven and small. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was functional but have no feeling of repeating a stay here.

Took a long time to check in, our rooms A/C leaked it barely got to a nice temp. And they don't clean the floors to well. I found a long black hair stuck to the bathroom door. We don't have black hair....

it was a good weekend... always friendly staff... and of course the location is great too...

The room was spacious and clean. Exactly what i thought it would be. Friendly staff. Inly suggestion...update light in restrooms. It is a winding switch. Scared the bejeevies out of my child when in the resteoom.

It was a great location... walking distance to so many places...

It's was good more amenities would be nice but overall good!

it looks really nice on the outside however, there were a list of problems. the bed was awful, along with the pillows. they folded the pillows into little squares so it took the fluffyNess out of them. the shower had little to no water pressure. there was no tv remote, no extra baskets for freezing room, no updated appliances or amenities. the breakfast was not much of a breakfast at all. the door had one lock and looked like someone had broken in previously. we kept a chair in front of the door for security purposes. if the bed had been some what comfortable and had a little bit of support, it would have be ok.

Stayed for a local concert. Looks bad outside, decent room

I took my son to South Padre Island to go fishing for the weekend and needed an inexpensive place to stay on the island to bed down for the night. If you are looking for a room to serve this purpose, then this is the place for you. The amenities are dated, but functional. The service was about average and if you ask for a wake up call, you are better off using the alarm on your cell phone to wake you up (more dependable). The parking is horrible! My son and I were lucky to get a space and if you left to do anything on the island, you were more likely to have to park your vehicle alongside the street. Econo Lodge needs to seriously think about having assigned parking spaces and make the visitors park out in the street not the paying customers. The cleanliness of the room was nice and it served our purpose. The comfort of the room was good if not for the family of twenty five people that spent the entire weekend out at the pool all hours of the night (Barbequing and playing loud music). It helps if you have been out at the beach all day or on a boat and just too worn out to care. The staff was a friendly group of people that did the best with what they had. Nice, but not very tentative. I asked for a new coffee pot because the one in the room did not work and after calling three times, I finally got it. The value, like I said, if you want to be on the island and in the middle of it all, this is the place. There are restaurants, shops, and stores all within walking distance as far as the locale is concerned. However, as my title reads, you truly get what you pay for. An expensive room to rest up in the evening and go about your day elsewhere. Do not even try to use the pool; there was a family there the entire time with about twenty five to thirty people blasting their music, getting drunk, and barbequing the entire weekend with about fifteen kids. No exaggeration…THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. Hope this helps.

No light at room just at the bathroom thats why all the courtains were open, bad internet signal
