Great host.

Booked a non-refundable room that Hotels.com clearly stated was available. When arrived, advised there was no room available. Bob, the proprietor was great. The issue was with the booking app. Another guest had booked the last room with another app literally 5 minutes before I booked and paid. The app did not update as it should have. Luckily Bob had a room that had not been cleaned due to a late afternoon check-out. He offered to either clean it or contact another property on our behalf and give us a credit towards another hotel. We were very impressed with Bob's attitude and were very happy to wait so he retained the business. The motel is somewhat old but kept in good nick. Bob is a great host. We will certainly stay there again when next in the region.

Staff were very lovely, the property had mould in the bathroom ,the ceiling fan was well overdue for a clean too, bathroom cupboard had obvious water damage as well as some small holes in the walls and door which could’ve been an easy fix, and the pool was very murky so we didn’t swim in it. Despite these things the property and surrounds were tidy, lawns mowed, staff were very friendly and we were offered a continental breakfast too which we as lovely. Overall you get what you pay for.

A very affordable accommodation for the area. The owners were very accommodating and even supplied my son with a fishing rod and bait that made his day with trying to fish in the river. Small town feel and hospitality.
