Welcome to our log cabin in the woods! Ideally located at the end of the street with access to Saxon Creek trail and endless acres of forest and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing from the front door. What we love about this home is the privacy and the feeling of being in the mountains and woods, with views of tall pines from inside, including from some of the bedrooms. Spread out between the two open-concept living areas, soak in the hot tub, find yourself in a competitive game of pool, warm up by one of the two stone fireplaces, prepare a meal for family in the custom kitchen, or just be lazy and lay around on our large sectional and watch a game or a movie. Although tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town, the cabin is also only 8 miles from town and 7 miles to Lake Tahoe, with very easy access to Heavenly, Sierra at Tahoe, beaches, grocery stores, and restaurants,
2,846 square foot higher end 4BR / 2.5BA home is allowed 15 guests (8 guest, plus up to 7 additional children 5 years old and younger). There are 9 beds (including the 2 twin rollaway beds) and sleeping arrangements for 12. Reach out to us about sleeping options if you have more than 12 guests in your group.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and everything needed to prepare a holiday feast! A large island separates it and the great room, making the space perfect for gathering and entertaining.
The dining table with seating for 8 (with extra seating at the island) is perfect for gathering with friends and family over a home-cooked meal.

No street parking per county ordinance - could result in towing and major fines * Please put trash in on-site bear box * Surveillance: may have camera for monitoring the driveway and exterior of the home for safety and security purposes. No monitoring inside. May also have decibel monitoring devices (nothing decreeable) to ensure we're in compliance with the local noise ordinance. We expect all guests to be respectful, mature, and responsible. There is a zero tolerance policy abusive and negligent guests, loud groups, etc. If you want to squeeze 25 people into a house and party hard, this is not it. This is a tasteful, and well appointed home - please treat it as your own.
This said, we are open to mature individuals who want to party but know how to treat other people and their things with respect. NO LOUD or LATE PARTIES.

Lovely house in South Lake Tahoe
We had a nice stay at this South Lake Tahoe house. There is a lot of space for 2 families and the kitchen was well stocked. Some of the cabinets in the kitchen need repair and the oven/stove may need to be replace soon. The other appliances work great. There is a fireplace and a heater which was great during the cold winter. We had a nice time with our friends and the pool table was a hit.

Quiet Retreat
A lovely home with plenty of ambiance and excellent amenities. Quiet, private location. Great base for day trips either around the lake loop road or to Yosemite. Short drive to all South Lake Tahoe restaurants, shopping, gaming and Lake Tahoe itself.

Great house. No AC but with the weather you don’t need any. If it’s a little hot just open the windows are you’ll be cooled off in no time.
