The inn had beautiful, informally landscaped grounds, two buildings for guests, and a "barn" for musical and theatrical performances. Both guest buildings had charming, old-fashioned decorations. Our room was in the Carriage House, across the lawn from the main building. The room was large and comfortable, but needed a few repairs: the thermostat was hard to adjust because the knob was missing, and not all of the windows opened, making things inconvenient on a warm night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The office is not staffed continuously, and it sometimes took a little while to summon someone by buzzer. The owner, her family, and some visiting friends were all musicians, and we were treated to a spontaneous living room concert in the evening.
