The room had a view of the Square. This was nice especially given we could see Plague column, some people int he square. It reminded me of a German Town on the romantic road - Rothenburg due the colorful buildings on a square. Since we parked the car at the entrance of the castle parking lot - we had to lug our luggage to this hotel as we didn't call them - though we had only 2 trolley bags we were ok. Normally they have a van which brings the luggage to the lobby. Breakfast was decent. Room was cozy. But the fact that it was a historic place - and had old objects on display raised my curiosity. And I liked it.
it is very centrally located which is great,, finding the rooms is dificult since it is a combination of several buildings. i tried for three nights to get a wake up call the next day and never did accomplish that task with various explantions provided me.
We were there in October . When we arrived the room was at 24C. The air conditioning in the room was not working and the unit was full of dust. But the location of the hotel was perfect. It was over priced for the quality of the room, we ask for a king size and we had two single bed with a space in between of 3 inches.
We stayed there in Late September of 2017. We were there for three nights. Two mornings there was no hot water in the hotel. Dirty dishes were never removed from the room. They didn't even leave the correct number of towels in the room. I think there is great variance in the size of the rooms. Our room was a decent size but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were bad. Door to room didn't close tight. The hotel is in a great location right on the square but that also means you will hear lots of noise late into the night. I love the town but would choose another place to stay. We were there with a group of people and I think everyone felt the same way.
We stayed 3 nights on a group tour. The location is great - right on the square. It was the St. Wenceslas celebration so was very convenient for that. Initially we were in a small room facing the back with 2 narrow beds placed end to end to fit into the room. The air conditioning had been turned off so room was very hot with window closed or very noisy with the window open. Room had curtains that did bot fully cover the window. We were moved to a larger room facing the square for the 2nd and 3rd nights. This was a big improvement but curtains did not completely close and air conditioning did not work. We did not have any hot water for 2 of the three mornings we were there. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel has a great location but is being poorly maintained. Definitely needs renovation!
This is a very old hotel and very attractive in an old fashioned way. Our beds were end to end to fit into the long room. The room was newly decorated in an old fashioned way. The bathroom was very modern. The breakfast was huge and wonderful. Hot water was available near the dining room for an evening cup of tea. Did I mention that 500 hudred years of history was out the window and the front door?
We spent three nights here on an OAT tour in room 153. The hotel is centrally located on the main square with many nearby restaurants, tourist shops, and other sites. All the rooms are different. This one had three twin beds, two dressers, two luggage racks (thank you!!), a table with three chairs, empty fridge, a plant in the corner, coffee/tea maker, wardrobe with 5 real hangers and the smallest safe imaginable, which we did not use as it required a separate key and would not even hold a smartphone, let alone a Kindle. The lighting was very dim; wifi was acceptable. The room was quiet at night as it faced an alley and the restaurant there was not busy. When we arrived, the room smelled strongly of Clorox and the bathroom floor was wet. There were three steps up to the small bathroom which had a shower, sink, and heated towel rack, which was not operational this season. There were two small and two large towels in the bathroom, two of which had holes in them. Another set was on the third twin bed. Amenities included bar soap, liquid soap, shampoo, vanity set, tissues, hair dryer. The hot water in the shower was good. There was one electrical outlet in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. Breakfast is substantial with fruits, breads, eggs, vegetables, sweets, ham, bacon, sausages, coffees and teas, etc. The juice machine seemed to be out of one offering each morning. Housekeeping was poor and there was always something missing so we asked for soaps, shampoos, towels and bathmats when necessary. Given the limited options in a town that has been in restoration since the Communists left, we would stay here again in the same or similar room.
This hotel was really very nice. It is right on the town square, with easy access to everything in Cesky Krumlov. The rooms were huge, seriously huge, and have good air conditioning. Fittings were fairly basic with traditional fittings. Downside: The shower was not great, but functional. Also friends of ours we travelled with did not have a shower in their room, and the bathroom smelled of ammonia / pee.
If you are staying in this little hamlet, this hotel is perfectly located. You can walk anywhere from here within 20 minutes. There are significant differences in the rooms at this Inn. Some are large and well appointed, while others are so small and windowless, they seem like a coffin. A great many have twin beds that look like dorm beds. The rooms facing the main square are sunny and airy. The double windows block out the noise from the square. However, the curtains in my room don't close, so privacy is a bit of an issue. Some rooms have showers and some have tubs with a shower hose that is mounted too low to use as a shower. The wifi is sketchy, but at least it's available somewhere in the hotel. The included breakfast buffet is ample, but not elegant. Coffee comes from a machine.
We stayed at this beautiful hotel on our honeymoon trip to Czech Republic in August. It was one of the most unique and charming hotel we've ever stayed! Upon checking in, Katerina upgraded us to one of the two most beautiful rooms. She was very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of tips on where to go and see during the stay, From the pictures you can tell how spacious and pretty it is! We were completely wowed by the details of the room, it felt like a royal castle. The bathroom was clean and big enough! Yes, part of the floor near the bathroom was squeaky, but we didn't mind at all! This was so unique and special! just like the hotel name! Location: Couldn't be any better! it's right in the middle of the square! Cesky Krumlov is a small town anyway, but we just appreciated the view and convenience this cute hotel offered. Breakfast was included in the rate for all the hotel guests, there was a wide variety of choices, including bread, fruits, cold cuts, coffee, some hot dishes. You can definitely find something you normally eat. The view of the square from the restaurant in the morning was absolutely tranquil and peaceful! there was almost no hustle and bustle or any tours at that time. Parking: parking was a little expensive, it was about 340 czk per night. But it wasn't a major issue, you don't need a car to go anywhere once you arrive there. The staff there can drive your car to the designated parking area once you unload all your luggages in the front of the hotel. There was no swimming pool or sauna in this hotel, however, all the hotel guests could get use these amenities in Hotel Ruze( a five star hotel belongs to JAN hotel groups) which was located at Horni Street, within 5 min walk for sure. Overall, we had a wonderful stay there at this cute hotel! I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone if you are looking for a old charming hotel right in the middle of everything that Cesky Krumlov has to offer!
