Where to start we found ourselves in this hotel as our holiday company Loveholidays booked us into a hotel that was closed. We stubbled upon the Skanes Serail the hotel is nice but what helped make our ordeal more bearable was Amine, this man has been so helpful during our stay as we had no support from Loveholidays what so ever. Amine is warm friendly and could not do more to help us out ,there are very few people like him, if you visit this hotel keep an eye out for Amine by far the best member of staff at this hotel a true gentle giant....
This is our second stay in this hotel. The last time we stayed was September 2015 when it was really quite after the issues in Sousse. This time the hotel was much busier which was good to see. Food great, rooms clean and lovely pool and beach area. We were initially given a room at the back with a view that wasn't great. However, we spoke to the reception staff who moved us to a much nicer room near the pool. The only complaint would be as a non smoker the one and only bar was full of smoke every evening which made it impossible to sit in! We had to sit in reception with our drinks. For the price though at under £200 for 10 nights we really can't complain!! Thanks
Nice environment. Perfect during the day. For the evening the rooms miss artificial light, also about everywhere in the hotel it feels dark. Lot of choices for hot buffet meals, including Tunesian spicy flavours Hotel people and animators are very nice. Hotel didn't felt crowdy (was not high-season), more than enough place around the pool,
The hotell advertise free parking. Our second night no parking was available because they were taken by guests at a near by discotek. My husbond got angry and we wanted to talk to the director of the hotel. Then one of the securite hit my husbond and kick him. The night ended with hospital and the polisstation in monastir. 😔😔😔
We stayed in this hotel 3 adults 3 children in April 2015 and had conjoining rooms It was a mistake as the actual hotel we was suppose to go in was a 3* and still closed. Much to our surprise this hotel is a 4* and is wher we was transferred to free of charge. The hotel itself is lovely. The grounds are lovely n just a short walk to the beach via the pool. Us as a family and first time abroad for my son who was 3 had a fantastic time. Food was great and staff couldn't do enough to help us. Our time in Tunisia was amazing such a beautiful country just a shame we can't yet come back!!! The animation team are amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel as it's one of the best holidays we have ever had. Souse was great for markets and bargains as was the different centres they had. Would love to return here one-day x
This hotel is beautiful, rooms are lovely and clean ,pool and sea looks good, food is good but little bit bad is that lobby bar is open only to 23:00. Animation is very good but music is too loud all day, so it was funny holiday. Czech republic...
We spend happy time with the best animation in hotel and good chef animation #magui and bar men #sabri very nice boy and #scoop crazy animator hire and thank so much tunisia see agien. Tatto MEN was really fiendly and helpfull.
I'm still here at the Serail hotel. Rooms are lovely and clean. The food is okay. What has really annoyed me is the constant music blaring out all day! The same playlist day in day out! and it's unnecessarily loud!!! I've spoken to quite a few guests and it's the same for them....bloody annoying! I was really looking forward my 2 weeks holiday, but it's been ruined. If your looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, please don't book this hotel. I have spoken to the animation "chef" who smirked and said he would see that something was done regarding the issue....nope, still the same.
I have stayed at this hotel several times and am always sad to leave. Upon arrival it always looks very impressive and everyone here are so friendly and happy. I was given a beautiful room at the front of the hotel and check in was very quick and easy. There is an indoor and large outdoor pool and you walk straight out of the hotel onto the beach which are all kept very clean thanks to the hardworking staff. The sea is very shallow and so warm it's like getting into a warm bath. The food here is good and always plenty of choice. The ALL inclusive finishes at 23.00 but the beach bar stays open late and there is the club l'emprente- a short stroll across the car park... always an excellent night here. There's lots of water sports on the beach or if you want to go shopping Monastir is only 10 minutes away by car...don't pay more than 10 dnrs....or walk to the airport and catch the train only 550 mmls/ 18p and sit on the right side and you will see the pink flamingos. Finally sunsets on the beach here are stunning and there's even 'beer' benches in the beach to enjoy it. I love this hotel and when I stay at serail it's like visiting my family...cant wait to see everyone again.. Finally at the moment Thomas Cook aren't promoting this hotel for 2018...tunis air fly direct from London several times a week or book a connecting flight...they are on sale now for next year..and book the hotel with alpha rooms....they offer very very good prices...
