In early August my family and I were vacationing in Tunisia at the Skanes Serail hotel. We were received cordially. Golden sand, bright sun and warm clear sea warms the soul and body. Monastir fascinates with its ancient beauty. Special thanks I want to say to the entertainers, because of their diverse and rich entertainment program of the evening was filled with fun and joy. We loved Tunisia and will return there again.

Quiet hotel near the airport of Monastir. We get a perfect room with a sea/pool view. It was clean and the furniture looks quite new. Air condition was ok. Food was also ok, but as usual with all inclusive - it was repeating. The night program was great, espessialy the cabaret show God and bad boy :D I have to laugh everytime I remember on it. I appreciate the animators, as they were not so obtrusive. But there were also some minuses - not enough sunbed at pool/sea. Wifi connection, and sometimes the food was not well cooked. But at the end it was a great holiday, we have spent in this hotel. I can recommend it :)

I couldn't review this place any better if I could try. The afternoon staff are so helpful and speak over 8 languages so chances are they'll be able to help you easily. The events team are amazing float around all day keeping you entertained including night in an arena on grounds but far enough away for residents not wanting to participate to hear. Beach is lovely and its centred conveniently between 2 towns with metro just down road cheap enough and taxis outside. My best holiday I've had. I'd go back to live now such lovely people.

Upon arrival we was greeted by a very happy and helpful receptionist. Hotel is nice and clean, rooms are cleaned Daily. There is security on the gates. Rooms were a good size. Pool area were cleaned every morning and night. My little boy loved the kids pool and the play area. Food was very nice and there were lots to choose from. They also had different things such as bbq night etc. Free wifi in the reception area. Evening entertainment was good and the entertainment team were brilliant! They made our holiday so fun and enjoyable. The beach is well kept and clean. There were bits of seaweed on the beach but that wasn't a problem for us My 3 year old loved it!

Nice, clean and tidy. This is a medium class hotel with clean rooms and average food quality. It seems very quite to me especially in this period of time. I recommend it for business travellers as it is very close to Monastir airport as well as to the city center.

I went here last year and I read really negative comments on this hotel Yes some room need updating but all u have to do is ask the manager for a change of room and he does his best to help you .... I think these people have been through enough without being slated The animation team and staff all try there hardest and don't need to be slated Sit back and have a minute to think about what u say how can staff help wasps on the beach ?? Come on people have a think before you comment These people work for buttons and provide a top class service !!!!

We paid not a great deal for a week here in November. We read the reviews and saw they were mixed. But took out chances, all we wanted was a sunny break. Well.... A lot of the hotel is out dated and could do with a refurb. The rooms you are allocated through thomas cook have been refurbished so were nice to look at. We moved rooms once as the shower didn't work and we looked out over some wasteland. Our second room flooded, it rained for the majority of our stay in Tunisia and our hotel room balcony flooded and it all came in the patio doors. The high winds made the doors sound like they were going to fall out the frame at any point! So there wasn't much sleep going on. I know the hotel can't help the weather, but the rain did put a downer on things. There is only 2 small bars in the hotel and not much else to do when it's torrential outside. Our days were spent in the bar getting drunk, sitting about. People can smoke any where in the hotel so it was rather unpleasant sitting in a smokey bar all day and night. The animation team tried so hard to keep every body entertained in some pretty rubbish circumstances. There seemed to be no logic to their entertainment though, it was all just made up on the night. Credit to them though, with out them we probably wouldn't have left the room. The 3 sunny days we did get weren't great. There were cars driving up and down the beach past your sun beds, and a lot of wasps... There were so many flies around the pool area it made sitting there unpleasant. We had a massage in the spa and it was badly organised and not relaxing. We were Randomly left sat in rooms between stages of treatments and the staff talked loudly through your massage and left the room door open. It's one saving grace was the food! The food here was delicious, with a really good selection. I really enjoyed the food. There is one alacarte restaurant but it didn't seem to be open while we were there. Do not visit Tunisia out of tourist season though as most things shut down!! I also thoroughly recommend the Thomas Cook cabaret trip! It was a real laugh and the highlight of the holiday. Definitely will not be returning to this hotel, and possibly not Tunisia.

My friends and I went to this beautiful resort last week, at the entrance we were surprised by the security guy treating us like we were not welcome by questions such as, where do you come from exactly, we answered Tunis, he said where exactly from Tunis, I answered "does it matter, What difference does it make and is there any problem?" the next thing I see is police interrogating us, checking our luggage and showing us that we should not disrespect the security.. Anyway, the food was good, the pool was fine, the room is great but its only problem is that the AC does not cool the room well enough, I should add that the two girls at the reception should learn to smile more and treat Tunisians with more respect, if you think that they are not quality visitors, please do not open your doors to them in the first place, because we know that if it was not for them you would be already closed and waiting for next summer since June. So PLEASE show some respect. Three Tunisians who thought they are welcome in their country..

I spent three days at this hotel last July (2015). Clean rooms, helpful personnel, good food, large swimmingpool (the added photo of my young daughter, 9 y.o at the pool) , with exceptional position at the beach and close at the same time to downtown and to the international airport, I really enjoyed this hotel. One more thing for those who cancelled their trip to Tunisia this summer for security reasons, I would say, Tunisians understand your fears but DO NOT forget that terrorism can hit anywhere (actually it did in London, Madrid, Paris...). By the way, at the hotel, policemen were positioned at the main gate and at beach.

Forgot to review this last year after we had visited and having just been to tenerife and reviewed that hotel thought id write one for here too, Simply fantastic for the most part. Great food, fantastic pool, helpful reception staff lovely room buffets and hotel ala carte restaurants were all great with good options and varied food entertainment very limited but didnt care as sat on beach with a beer was lovely
