I was at the El Habib sister hotel next door 2 years ago and the manager Ahmed Billi took me to El Habib hotel to show me all the changes and said to phone him before we go to Monastir so he could give us the best room in the hotel and he gave me his business card,but it was worthless as he never answered his phone or replied to my emails,he asked me to send him the proper measurement for a disabled ramp as they were building one at the time and I pointed out that it was very steep and to make it longer by 2 mitres as it was not safe to use,I have sent the proper measurements and drawning of a ramp. We have just returned from our holiday at hotel El Habib in Monastir,well what can I say lets start with the BAD then finish with the Good.Two weeks before our holiday I phoned the hotel and they told me they have a nice room for me,when we got to the hotel they give us the key then the receptionist said can you wait for 15 minutes and he took a cleaner with him,eventually we were allowed to go to the room,when the porter opened the door we felt like we were in a one star hotel it was dirty,smelly,toilet seat broken and a building sight facing our window,we decided to take our suitcases to reception and told them we refused to stay one minute in that room,she said if you want a sea view room you need to pay extra I said you did not say that on your advert,she said have a seat and I'll try to change your room,eventually she give us a key and said try this one and it was very nice. Well well typical Tunisians in one ear and out from the other,they are nice to you when they need you and don't want to know you when you go. The Ramp for the disabled has not been adjusted to the measurement I've sent him and I have seen people trying to use it but it was very difficult and moved to use the steps next to it,electric cables every where on the grass at the pool side all it needs some one to trip on them.the hotel can do with a good cleaning not just wipe the floors.The chef with glasses at breakfast time needs to change his attitude because when you ask him for fried eggs he makes a remark of saying good morning to him first. I don't know how this hotel make money,the bar open from 10am to midnight and over 300 Russian people reside in this hotel,they start queuing before 10am and they take 3-4 drinks each and they do that every day and we use to sit and watch them in the restaurant breakfast,lunch and dinner,my god they can eat and keep going back for more like if they have been starving before they came,after filling there belly they start filling the bags with fruit. I would like to finish with the Good and thank all the staff from the restaurant all inc,a la carte restaurant,bar all in, piano bar,house-made,reception staff,security men and the spa girl,finally a big thanks to the head chef for cooking my sea bass I bought from the fish market and it was just perfect. Staff are very good they work hard and try to please us every day and are always smiling,animators are good and same in every hotel in Tunisia work hard.

Business trip in February discovered Tunisia for me. Mediterranean sea was just across the road and when the balcony was open I listened to the waves song. I was checked in the 4th floor, sea view. Strange that a salt water was in a shower. Meals were extremely delicious and organically grown, for breakfast cottage cheese and sausage my favorite. Staff welcoming.

I went in January, checked in for 4 days and checked out in under 4 hours of the first day. I didn't even insist for the refund as I just wanted to get OUT. Hotel stuff are loosing it. Rude. Like dude in the hood Rude. Food, Undercooked tasteless disgusting , I only ate the fruits and the bread. Room extremely cold , dirty. The sheets: yellowish. Bathroom: smell like...you know what. Windows don't close. No extra covers. When we called for central heat maintenance it took them two hours to send someone . It was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and of course it didn't work. That's when we walked out. No one to help with the luggage. No background music was even played at any place in the hotel. One of main doors of the hotel didn't even work properly.

I liked : - very close to the see - very close to Fort alRibat and the city centre - Large reception hall I disliked: - I asked for other towels (I used mine in the pool) and they did not respond - I found a dirty stain on the sheet - The sheets are not fresh (seems to be not changed)

I have stayed at lots of hotels in monastir but I really love the Habib. The check in is extremely quick and I was given a lovely room again with a beautiful pool and sea view. There might not be a huge choice of food like some other hotels, but there is always something to eat. I love the view from the restaurant outside, as it overlooks the beach across the road or you have great views of Monastir. This hotel is perfectly situated as it's only 10 minutes walk to centre of Monastir and the marina. There is a snack bar round the small pool which took me a few days to find, it was only bcse I saw people walking with sandwiches that a found it.. If wake up early watch the sunrise, they are spectacular from the beach. The staff work extremely hard and are always smiling. Thankyou to everyone for a lovely stay.

I am writing my review and I feel so sad to see the level of hotel industry what we reached in tunisia I studied and worked in monastir for more then 3 years. .. I know well all the areas. .. I and my wife waited more than 5 h in the frond desk till our room get ready The room was clean for sure but I was fighting with the TV to find any channel and was black and white. .. Hotel was not secured for walking guest , I saw very young age children's (under 20y/o ) coming to bar areas and consuming alcohol.. I understand hotel want to make money and it the only time but still it s wrong because this kind of gust still not major enough so there are trouble sources. One more thing what make me really sad to see that 90 % of the kitchen team retired from other hotels and still working in this property. ..well that's y lot of new generation from hotel school after the graduation they can't find place to work and in therm of quality and variety will remain the same for since last 10 years because no new blood in the service. ... And it s against the rules and regulations of the state of tunisia as per the labour constitution. Overall very bad Sorry to say that.

It was our first time in Tunisia, and this trip was really amazing! Especially we were pleasantly surprised by the animation team! Guys work all day without a break! Always cheerful, always communicate with the tourists! Every night they spend a funny show with chic dance. David, Fabio, LoLo and Jhonny are the best of the best!

First of all I would like to thank a housekeeping team, that was doing his job in the professional manner. But that's all for what I would like to express my congratulations. Arrival to the hotel: Checking was fast, no any welcome drinks or animation. Room: 4th floor sea view was wonderful! Reception: Horrible organization! Huge misscommunitation, the Guest Relations desk was totally disorganized, running around the hotel. The reservation of the restaurant (you have a right to eat kind of "a la carte" where the food was brought from the main buffet. However, as from words from the reception we were having a REAL TUNISIAN KITCEN, couscous... The peace of chicken with 2 slices of potatoes... Wherever... Service: It does not exist! The slimes just for the Tunisian dinars! Especially the management, I would like to thank the guys that are working like horses and doing their job as they can (BAR ALL INCLUSIVE)! Hotel Food: Discusting! Do not take all inclusive and even the breakfast! You can go eat outside nice sea food. (120 dinner for 5 persons, its around 60 dollars) In generally its good location, sea just in front (but no private beach), shops, restaurants in the "Marine" The jachts parking space.. On the beach you can meet a good guy who is doing fishing, we hade ate an octopus just on the beach for 20 dollars... (1.5 kg) Was very good! Go to the restaunts around and you vacations will be saved...

I have been in hotel habib 2 years ago .this why i come back again just to meet my friend of all the staff ..... there a lot of change in the hotel , the decoration in reception and in the restaurant even around the swimming pool ...for the animation team they make our holiday fun and happiness .... the beach was clean with high security around make you feel safe ... and as we promise we will come back again for sure ....

hello ... I spend a beautiful day. the view of the hotel was very simpatique will disco ... BUDDHA reception accept them coming ... the restaurant : there is nothing to eat ... just the picture it looks like a shop ded too expensive clothing you look is all you lot more ... I have a big point to the animation ... the animator working hard at every place in the hotel you find lombience . the show they are good but the host it is all the problem with the animated head ( ZAK ) give up a lot of control to pay it much the same moderator parfoit I stay I hear the meeting he wrote much is it insult . .. the leader he is proffesional but the leader it will not work ... if you spend a holiday I advised you not to hotel room ... the maintenance of an adjustment can ... thank you for watching my opinion .. .
