A truly delightful stay in the south of France! Our host and her home provided a warm and authentic experience for both relaxation and pleasure. The nearby quaint Catalan village of Sorede, nestled at the base of the Pyrenees and near the Mediterranean seaside, punctuated the beauty and peacefulness of our stay. Whether it was driving through the vineyards and olive groves on the way to the market or enjoying the warm afternoon sun among the cedars and succulents in the pool garden, this stay was the "Joie de Vivre'!

The 1500 character limit for reviews is too restrictive ...

The manageress was charming, friendly, accommodating and did her best to be helpful. Aside from that, and the fact that the pool and garden were pleasant, I can find nothing agreeable to say about this property and I can think of plenty of colourful descriptions of its inadequacies. I have drafted a detailed and, I believe, factually accurate description of the premises, but the Vrbo website cannot accommodate the 1211 words of my review. That being the case, I have to limit myself to the following remarks: * The property contains multiple non-trivial hazards to health. In my view it is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues, or who is of above average height or weight. * Parts of it occasionally smell of sewage. * It holds itself out as capable of accommodating seven people. We were a party of three, and that was more than enough. * There is almost no working space in the kitchenette. There is no kettle and the grills above the stove lack tines sufficient to hold pans. The stove mostly did not work. * There is almost no privacy and, relatedly, almost none of the doors fit, or lock. * Most of the premises lack windows. It is effectively an underground habitation (for the most part). * It is difficult to comment on the cleanliness of the property because it is so gloomy. * Finally, the photos on Vrbo include two of the 'Property Grounds', which show a stream and a path. That stream and that path, wherever they are, are not on the grounds of this property.

Una decepción de alojamiento

Lo peor fue que después de la segunda noche me levanté llena de picaduras de pulgas.Algo exagerado.Solo pueden ir 4 si es un matrimonio con 2 hijos pequeños, porque no hay nada de intimidad. Las 2 habitaciones son contiguas y se comunican con una puerta corredera.Una habitación no tiene ventanas y por lo tanto no hay luz ni ventilación. La otra tiene una puerta de casa para salir a la calle. Los que duermen en esta habitación por la mañana han de salir de la casa por esta puerta, dar la vuelta por la calle y entrar por el jardín o cruzar la habitación donde hay otras personas durmien. A parte solo hay 1 interruptor que da luz a las 2 habitaciones al mismo tiempo.Las camas y las almohadas super incómodas y los colchones mantienen el plástico protector, así que hace mucho ruido por la noche y no es cómodo. A parte hay un olor constante en las habitaciones de los bajantes de tubería . Muy desagradable.La cocina es súper pequeña, el techo hace bajada y no cabes de pie en una zona y sólo 2 estanterías que no cabe nada. Esta hecha a parches de muebles y adaptar espacios sin sentido. La puerta del lavabo es corredera también y queda 3 dedos abierta porque hay un un tope, así que no tienes intimidad.La limpieza de la casa no es buena, hay telas de arañas por toda la casa.La piscina está muy bien pero el patio donde está no porque es muy alargado y estrecho por lo que no puedes estar en las hamacas todos juntos.Las fotos están muy bien hechas, toda una estrategia

Déçu par rapport à l’annonce

Location maison, A l’entrée de la propriété il faut se baisser pour ne pas être ébouriffé par les branchages qui passent au-dessus du portail, Si vous souhaitez ne pas marcher sur des feuilles mortes, La cour doit être balayée au minimum une fois par jour, La piscine est bien mais devrait être nettoyé au moins une fois par semaine, un technicien passe une fois par semaine pour juste rajouter une pastille de chlore, 2 transats pour une location pour 6 personnes (2palettes avec des coussins en complément qu’il faut chaque soir recouvrir en cas de pluies Également à l’extérieur un salon de jardin qu’il faut également couvrir avec une bâche et bien sur le redécouvrir chaque jour, soi-disant pour que les chats de le détruise pas, En ce qui concerne la maison que vous nous avez loué, Dans votre description, maison 3 chambres, 2 salles de bains Il s’agit d’un garage en continuité d’une cave qui a été aménagé, merci de nous croire, il n’y a aucune exagération dans ma description, avec « le comble » la propriétaire qui habite au-dessus, avec de la visite de temps en temps qui dorment chez elle et donc vous pouvez vous imaginer des bruits de pas car les dalles sont en béton L’entrée principale est une porte coulissante qui donne dans une 1ere chambre avec un lit en fer qu’il faut déplier pas de fenêtre, et est par la force de choses est le passage pour rentrer et sortir pour les autres occupants, un rideau sépare en continuité le salon cuisinette très petite (attention à la tête pour celui qui fait la cuisine) et l’entrée pour la seul salle de bain avec WC pour 6 personnes, pas de WC Séparé, de la, une 2ème chambre avec une porte coulissante en bois, pas de fenêtre, toujours en enfilade une petite 3ème chambre avec une porte et une petite fenêtre que tu n’ouvres pas car elle est directement dans un petite ruelle pas de trottoir, pas de climatisation, comme il n’y as pas de fenêtre, je ne vous explique pas les nuits en plus avec les bruit de pas des occupants au-dessus

Maison sympa mais pas vraiment adaptée au delà de 4 personnes

La maison était plutôt jolie, l'extérieur agréable (même si la piscine nous a parue plus petite que sur l'annonce). Le gros bémol était les couchages. L'annonce parle de 3 chambres. Or, la troisième chambre est juste un espace entre le jardin et la salle à manger / cuisine, qu'on ferme par des rideaux. Avec un lit gigogne qu'il faut donc ouvrir et fermer tous les jours, puisque ça se retrouve en plein milieu de la pièce de vie et du passage pendant la journée. La literie était confortable, mais ça ne devrait pas être présenté comme une chambre à part entière (il n'y a d'ailleurs pas de penderie ou garde robe dans cet espace, j'ai du ranger mes affaires dans la chambre de mes amis), mais comme une possibilité de couchage supplémentaire. La cuisine est aussi vraiment petite, c'était difficilement praticable pour 5 personnes.
