Location is perfect. Nice and spaceous room. Breakfast is very nice. The staff was very attentive and smiling. The only negative comment is that the hotel need an upgrade, it is getting a little old..
Room basic but clean and service excellent. Centrally located near main square and ideal for walking around Trondheim. Has its own bar and simple breakfast provision. But loads of places for eating and drinking nearby
I stayed in Quality Hotel Augustin for a weekend and was not disappointed. From the moment I checked in to the moment of my check out was all positive. I was upgraded as a result of my newly started membership, the room was impeccable, all the staff nice and friendly. The breakfast may be bigger in other hotels, but just perfect for my needs. I would recommend this hotel over many others in Trondheim, and I have stayed in a few.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Trondheim city centre, nearby Trondheim Torg. The building is quite old. Although the reception area looks quite modern but the staircases and elevator and the rest of the hotel reveals some wear and tear. I've tested two rooms lately. One was a handicap room on 1st floor/2. etasje. The view was facing a backyard, no view at all. A good bed, quite spacious room and bath The other room with some view, but several defects. Check-in/service on average, breakfast on average. Compared to other hotels in Trondhein you should not book Augustin if it's not at least 300-400 kroner cheaper compared to i.e. Nideleven or Bakklandet hotels. A ok hotel, but only for sleeping/staying...
I stayed at the hotel for four nights. I book the room via their website. I got key to room 524. The room is very small, ca. 4.5 sqm. The bathroom is about 2kvm. the distance between the toilet bowl and shower is barely 50 cm. (Shower did not have doors or curtains to prevent splashing in the rest of the bathroom). I got a new room after I asked for it. I think it is a shame that the hotel offer this room at full price to its guests without informing the room state. at least they could offer this room for significantly reduced price. Breakfast is simple and varied. It's a simple choices of both fruits, vegetables and dairy products as well as variety of breads.Frokost is somewhat less choices in the weekend. In the lobby there is free coffee and tea all day.
I stayed one night at this hotel when I was in town for work. The hotel is centrally located, the airport express bus stop is only one block away and you are withing easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs. The room was a bit small, but it had everything I needed, with a desk to work at and a comfortable bed. There was some street noise during the day, but quiet during the night. I also enjoyed the free coffee from the reception as the room did not have a coffee maker. The breakfast was good, nothing special but sufficient for my needs. The staff was friendly and efficient.
I was here for a week on business. Reception staff were great, particularly Jessica and Wesche! The room was comfortable. The wireless easy to use and fast enough!. The bathroom had a great shower - and I LOVE bathrooms with heated floors. The room temperature was quite cold, but reception gave me a space heater to solve that. The breakfast buffet was good - I love the eggs and the great fresh bread. A good choice of things to have This is a nice, central Trondheim 4-star hotel.
This is a good and decent hotell in Trondheim centre. Easy to find. Ok parking. Nice tidigare rooms. Most importantly good comfortable hard beds. Good space in rooms to work in. I did not manage to get all lighting work.... Below view att lobby across The street.
I've stayed at this centrally located hotel on 3 different occasions. What I liked about the hotel is its easy access from the station (within 15 minutes walking distance), and from the airport (on the bus route); central location in the CBD and access to restaurants; it is on the bus route to the university; and has a fair spread of options for breakfast. What I did not like was the difference in room size and lighting. The rooms facing the front of the hotel are more spacious and have better day light whereas the rooms on the left and right wings of the hotel tend to be smaller and darker. Next time I will request my room selection rather than to be allocated a room.
During a weekend I stayed in two different rooms; one suite and one single room with an extra bed, The suite had a strange layout, lacked lights and sockets, but had nice newly refurbished bath rooms. The single room was small and dark. We were unable to book our rooms online. Therefore we made our reservations on the phone. The hotel did not keep to the prices we agreed on phone. We ended up paying more for the single room with an extra bed, than for a double room at a better hotel the same night in Trondheim.
