We stayed, unfortunately, for only one night and had hoped to return on our way back to the U.K. but did not quite make it. The hotel is in a great position in the middle of town and we were lucky enough to visit after Christmas when the Christmas market was still in the town. What a delight. The Cathedral had a wonderful light show in the evenings. We had a nice room with a view of the Cathedral and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to return on our next trip to France. The hotel has a restaurant and the food was extremely good. Thank you Mercure Amiens
This hotel is in an excellent location in Amiens, central to everything and literally a very short walk to the beautiful cathedral, which during December there was a brilliant light & sound show portrayed on the exterior of the cathedral at 7pm. Check in was very smooth, helpful reception staff that gave us a few tips on the area. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, great bed with lovely soft pillows! Spotlessly clean too, coffee, tea etc provided and complimentary water. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first evening and it was a nice meal with wine, not too expensive. Also had breakfast the next morning which was excellent. Plenty of choice of hot and cold buffet style with plenty of choices for cold & hot drinks - very good breakfast definitely recommend. This area is excellent for shops, bars restaurants etc - would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I expect it is continually busy!
Had the corner suite with a direct view towards Amiens Cathedrale. The suite is spacious and has a separate seating area. The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is decent, could have some more vegetarian options. Slept well. The food from room service is rather good and inexpensive. The attitude of the staff is a bit too French.
Nice hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed there for two nights with my brother and nephew as we were touring areas in northern France. The Junior Suite was very spacious and clean. Washroom and toilet were always maintained in clean conditions. Antoine at the front desk is very knowledgeable and provided us with good guidance and information on World War 1 sites. Overall, it was great experience for us.
Excellent hotel with great views of the gorgeous cathedral. Friendly restaurant, helpful. Position could not be better, right opposite the cathedral which is one of the greatest in France. Very busy, book ahead.
Great hotel and location. Value for money. Stayed here twice now as it is in such a great location, close to the cathedral and the town itself. If you are lucky enough to get the right room there are amazing views of the cathedral and if you are even more lucky you can see the moon behind it. Staff extremely helpful The rooms are large and spotless. There is tea/coffee in the rooms. Did use the bar but not the restaurant as we ate in the town. .
The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the main city center, just across the road from the cathedral. Great location if you want to visit the Christmas market. The rooms are clean, well appointed and comfortable. The only downside was that they were a little to warm for our liking, but easily resolved by opening the window. Parking as a couple of minutes walk away, in an underground carpark, so at this time of year it mean the car is not frozen in the morning. It was also very cheap at 7 Euro a day. It is also worth noting that if you are staying here on a Sunday evening the restaurant is closed!
Being so close to city centre was a real bonus. Unfortunately the car had to be parked in a multi storey a few minutes away from the hotel, but the plus side was that the car park wasn’t expensive. Our room did not have a view of the cathedral but was large enough with a huge bed, bathroom with a bath and a separate loo.The reception staff were very helpful.
Nice clean and comfortable hotel in good location for the cathedral and local bars and restaurants. Highly recommended. Be aware that the nearest car park was not accessible for our vehicle (Zafira with roof box) but there was metered street parking outside the hotel.
Staff were very helpful at check in and all other times as my French is questionable and their English is very good. Our room was quite comfortable and the view from our window was the Cathedral, so quite impressive. Only had one night but really enjoyed ourselves, beautiful walk along the river, nice restaurants and bars, all added to the experience.
