We came here after having to find another hotel due to poor quality. We stayed in a suite with a terrace overlooking the cathedral. The room was really spacious and had everything we needed - friendly staff provided a cot for our daughter with no problems. Check-in, check-out and room service were handled efficiently. Although no parking onsite there is a parking garage close by. All the sites of Amiens are within easy walking distance leading to a stress free break!
No problem with the hotel or the nearby car park, a big plus for us. What a pity that we emailed the hotel four times to ask a question concerning dietary requirements but without response, we tried French and English. Amiens seems a very nice place to visit, unfortunately we were soaked on the days we were there! Beware if visiting this year, most of the main roads and a number of side streets are in the process of having bus lanes added causing traffic congestion and some problems as SATNAVs don't recognise these! Our standard room had a cathedral view if only part of the roof and spire, we were on floor 2. Reception staff were good. Room was bright, television had only one English language channel-CNN. WIFI was good. For those ladies who suffer from overheating at night, the air-con system worked well but the duvet, pillows and mattress topper all filled with synthetic material made for uncomfortable nights. Breakfast was adequate.
Very well located, bank next to the cathedral and within 2 minutes' walk from the main shopping street. The hotel benefits from a conveniently located nearby car park and breakfast is very nice. Our room was a privilege room and was very well appointed, complete with a Nespresso-style machine and loads of coffee/tea to put in the machine.
We stayed, unfortunately, for only one night and had hoped to return on our way back to the U.K. but did not quite make it. The hotel is in a great position in the middle of town and we were lucky enough to visit after Christmas when the Christmas market was still in the town. What a delight. The Cathedral had a wonderful light show in the evenings. We had a nice room with a view of the Cathedral and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to return on our next trip to France. The hotel has a restaurant and the food was extremely good. Thank you Mercure Amiens
This hotel is in an excellent location in Amiens, central to everything and literally a very short walk to the beautiful cathedral, which during December there was a brilliant light & sound show portrayed on the exterior of the cathedral at 7pm. Check in was very smooth, helpful reception staff that gave us a few tips on the area. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, great bed with lovely soft pillows! Spotlessly clean too, coffee, tea etc provided and complimentary water. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first evening and it was a nice meal with wine, not too expensive. Also had breakfast the next morning which was excellent. Plenty of choice of hot and cold buffet style with plenty of choices for cold & hot drinks - very good breakfast definitely recommend. This area is excellent for shops, bars restaurants etc - would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I expect it is continually busy!
Had the corner suite with a direct view towards Amiens Cathedrale. The suite is spacious and has a separate seating area. The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is decent, could have some more vegetarian options. Slept well. The food from room service is rather good and inexpensive. The attitude of the staff is a bit too French.
Nice hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed there for two nights with my brother and nephew as we were touring areas in northern France. The Junior Suite was very spacious and clean. Washroom and toilet were always maintained in clean conditions. Antoine at the front desk is very knowledgeable and provided us with good guidance and information on World War 1 sites. Overall, it was great experience for us.
Excellent hotel with great views of the gorgeous cathedral. Friendly restaurant, helpful. Position could not be better, right opposite the cathedral which is one of the greatest in France. Very busy, book ahead.
Great hotel and location. Value for money. Stayed here twice now as it is in such a great location, close to the cathedral and the town itself. If you are lucky enough to get the right room there are amazing views of the cathedral and if you are even more lucky you can see the moon behind it. Staff extremely helpful The rooms are large and spotless. There is tea/coffee in the rooms. Did use the bar but not the restaurant as we ate in the town. .
The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the main city center, just across the road from the cathedral. Great location if you want to visit the Christmas market. The rooms are clean, well appointed and comfortable. The only downside was that they were a little to warm for our liking, but easily resolved by opening the window. Parking as a couple of minutes walk away, in an underground carpark, so at this time of year it mean the car is not frozen in the morning. It was also very cheap at 7 Euro a day. It is also worth noting that if you are staying here on a Sunday evening the restaurant is closed!
