Days Inn Sedgemoor M53.0 out of 5.0

I needed a last minute overnight booking and that usually comes at a financial cost. Having searched on Trivago, Days Inn came up as the best priced room I could get with less than 24 hours notice. When I arrived I was given a warm welcome and was offered a better room that would be quieter than the one I'd booked. I was really pleased when I saw the room. It was better equipped than Travelodge and cheaper than Premier Inn, which is what it was comparable to. I spent a very comfortable night and will definitely consider using Day's Inn again.
Extremely uncomfortable bed, feels like it must have been so old, the springs were literally coming through the mattress. Clean room and bathroom apart from a huge long hair on the bathroom tiled wall. Would not stay again for sure.
Stayed here with family (had two rooms) whilst visiting Glastonbury. Good location, although actually on service area of M5 northbound. There is a controlled back gate exit to get to local facilities or to head south easily. (You get code at reception). Rooms basic but comfortable. Tea & coffee supplied (and biscuits!). Staff polite and helpful. Free parking too. There was a little road noise, although it wasn't intrusive. Also there are a few rooms that they allow dogs (well behaved) to stay with you too for a small fee. (All days inns, not just this one.) We didn't do the continental breakfast box option, instead heading to Premier Inn at Bridgwater as were heading south one day, its a Brewers Fayre - awful breakfast, staff not that bothered either will ignore the place again I think.( a while since we have been there). Following day as heading North went to the Premier Inn on Weston Road, Hobbs Boat - amazing breakfast great welcome by staff. Been here number of times over a number of years. Nice place. Days Inn good alternative to Premier Inn and Travelodge - good bit cheaper too!
Days Inn Sedgemoor never lets us down - always clean and comfortable with friendly excellent staff
Lovely hotel, clean and welcoming. Went for one night on return from cornwall, just what we needed
We came to this hotel on a Sunday night at 8pm. We had a family room and the single bed for our daughter wasn't even made up. The room was dirty and cobwebs all over the lamp. There was no aircon so the room was boiling got, all the windows were shut and the net curtain fell down when I opened the window. You could hear noises from all the other rooms so I'm assuming the rooms were paper thin.
We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding. The room ws fine and bed comfy -not so thr pillows though they were really hard.Staff were pleasant and helpful . At check in we asked about parking as we would be returning late and were told if there were no spaces we could park in the main car park . As it happened we got a space outside the hotel on our return. Fast forward from august 24th to sept 5th and a demand for £100 from Parking Eye for overstaying in the car park! Needless to say it will be contested as the hotel has our registration details
We are a Family of four two adults and two children aged 9 and 5. Our room was clean and contained everything we needed for a quick stop off for the night.
Hotel itself was bog-standard bed, shower, etc which was all we needed/expected. Clean and comfortable, no road noise surprisingly. Although no fault of the hotel itself, I wouldn't recommend being on the bottom floor - we were kept up both nights but constant doors banging, children running up and down the stairs, more banging running around and locking each other in/out of rooms at 3am! It was constant. We did eventually speak to reception to ask if they could enforce anything to spare consideration to other guests but not surprisingly this wasn't taken on board by said guests or totally unphased parents!
Lovely friendly staff who are extremely helpful, rooms have all you need for a stopover while travelling from North to South
