Ultimate Ski Retreat at Solitude Mountain Resort - Apex Lodge

Apex House is a magnificent ski chalet located at the heart of the Solitude Mountain Resort. Resting just 50 yards from the resort's main Apex chair lift, Apex House is the perfect base camp for an unforgettable ski retreat. Located just outside the Solitude Mountain Village, the house is also conveniently located to ski and bike rentals, restaurants, spas, and shopping. 

After a day of skiing, you can enjoy soaking in the hot tub, cozying up to one of the five fireplaces, or watching skiers from the two story windows that give expansive views of the mountain. With a large, fully equipped kitchen, you can also enjoy cooking a homemade meal or enjoy a delicious meal from one of the many village restaurants that are just steps away.

Complete with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, the house makes an ideal gathering space for large groups while still maintaining a cozy feeling for smaller parties too. You will enjoy the comfort of three master suites with king size beds and two separate bunk rooms sleeping up to 10 additional people. All include premium linens, bedding, extra pillows and blankets. Two family room areas allow for both adult and kid zones to enjoy music, games and movies. You and your guests will also enjoy the sound of the crackling fire, the warmth of the radiant floors, the boot-room with individual locker spaces, and overall design and craftsmanship of this elegant home. Dream Ski Trip

House is amazing! Better than pictures show. Very clean and functional. Kitchen is well equipped, better than most VRBO’s. Location, location, location! The use of Brian as our ski instructor worked perfectly! If you’re looking for the ultimate ski trip house in North America this is it! No location will top this place!

Great week in the Mountains

Our stay was nice. It was during a heat wave so unfortunately with there being no A/C in the house made some hot nights. The house is very spacious and great for big groups. We enjoyed our stay. Notes for the landlord-The basement shower drain didn’t drain and the shower knob was broken. The freezer leaked and we needed to keep cleaning up the water in front of the fridge. The kitchen sinks have a foul smell. We tried putting some lemons in them but didn’t help. Lights were out on the back porch.

Wonderful house with amazing amenities. Loved the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. Great house for 5 families including young kids. Located at apex base with short walk to the lift and the resort base. Would love to stay here again.

Incredibly fun and recharging lodge experience!

This was the most fun our family has had in years! The Apex Lodge is spacious (we had 4 couples, each with 1-3 children), very clean, the kitchen is huge and well stocked, the view is just wonderful. If you’re thinking the lift might be a little close to the cabin and that you won’t have as much privacy as you’d like, think again! The privacy glass is great and the skiers won’t even know you’re there, but being in the living room with that backdrop is awesome. The wood fireplace completes the whole vibe of this place as well. The host is very responsive and helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were very quickly and effectively handled. My family is already talking about our next trip. You won’t regret booking the Apex Lodge!

Premier ski in ski out property

This property is absolutely perfect for skiers looking for an access to the slopes. Or it’s great to host and have large family gatherings over. It’s main floor has a ample space with an open living room to kitchen plan. The rest of the home is great and the bathrooms and sleeping spaces are abundant. You won’t feel cramped in the This home with a large party. Probably the best property on solitude ski resort for skiing. Definitely property to save as a return destination. Cleanliness was excellent and the kitchen was well stocked. The house had excess linens and towels. Also featured two sets of washers and dryers.

Dream Ski Vacation @ Solitude!

What a wonderful property located just at base of the Apex lift at Solitude. The Apex home comes as advertised with everything you need to complete your dream ski vacation. If you like to cook in, you've come to the right place as the home is equipped with everything you need to cook for larger groups. You are literally steps away from skiing and steps away from Solitude Village that is home to The Honeycomb Grill, The Thirsty Squirrel and more!

Pure Enjoyment!

Words cannot express the joy, luxury and contentment we experienced during our stay at the Apex house. Our rental journey began when our son and fiancée decided to get married in Solitude. We needed a place close to Wedding Venue that could accommodate a large family from seniors to children. The Apex house checked all the boxes and so very much more. Close and convenient to beautiful Solitude village, spectacular views within a spacious and relaxing environment. The expansive kitchen made it super easy to cook all our meals at the house, especially since most restaurants in the area were closing for the season. Cooking together reconnecting, laughing and enjoying each other’s company was one of them many highlights of the trip. The kitchen had every tool, accessory and appliance you could ever want or need. The house accommodated all our needs the kids had their own play room, adults could mix, mingle or enjoy their own quiet time, even the bridal party had enough space for last minute planning and preparation. We especially liked that all the bedrooms had their own private bath. The hot tube was an added bonus for sore, aching muscles, for some of us who stayed on the dance floor at the wedding a little longer than we should have. Our host Lance, could not have been more helpful, attentive and accommodating. One night the power tripped which affected the hot water heater. He had a repair man out in minutes who resolved the problem quickly, no one missed a hot shower. We could not have been happier with our stay….Thank you Lance!

The Apex home is nestled in the center of the Solitude Ski Resort. The home is stunning and a great space for multiple families. Everyone has room to be together and plenty of spaces to do your own thing too. Lance, property manager, is one of the best and very responsive. We absolutely loved our time in Utah.

Location! Location! Location!

This beautiful home could not be in a better location at Solitude. Our daughter had two weddings over Labor Day weekend and we were very conveniently located in the heart of the action. The home itself is magnificent and had everything you could need! The sheets and towels are very high quality, the whole house is immaculate. Our check in was very easy and we all loved our weekend home away from home. We have the most gorgeous pictures from our daughter’s First Look in the backyard near the creek. Just stunning!!! We had hair and make up done in the expansive living area with perfect lighting. We invited family for a rehearsal dinner and made great use of the oversized chef’s kitchen and plenty of seating for our guests on the expansive decks and dining area. The hot tub was a huge bonus after dancing the night away on Solitude’s great lawn. The weather in the mountains at that time of year was perfection with bright blue skies and no smoke haze. It really was a dream come true weekend and we cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to rent your perfect home!!

Quintessential mountain top retreat

Wedding at solitude

We enjoyed hosting a rehearsal dinner prior to our daughter’s wedding with close to 70 guests. Originally we had planned for seating on the giant outdoor deck but the weather forced us indoors where we had the space to set up four tables. Several people mentioned that they never felt crowded as the main living area is spacious and so very comfortable. We would definitely do it all over again if our other children are interested in celebrating up at solitude. Lance and Amy are wonderful to speak with and quick to answer via email. It was hard to leave such a nice home with the beautiful views of mountains and streams.

Fabulous property

House was absolutely perfect for our group of 14. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and the kitchen/dining/family room area was absolutely awesome. HUGE kitchen. House sets up exceptionally well for a larger group. The deck was perfect for watching different members of our group come cruising down the mountain. Best house on the mountain. Boot room and lockers make perfect set up for skiers. Location can’t be beat. Skied back to the house each day. 2 min walk to village stores, rentals and restaurants. Easy check in and check out. House manager and owner are great to work with.
