Taking the name "Solitude" literally

I've stayed at and skiied alot of the different areas in Utah and this one is unique. It takes the name "Solitude" seriously as it felt like the place was mostly abandoned. We were there later season, but it was wild to me that the base area didnt even really have any restaurants, bars, or coffee shops. Of the couple of options that existed, they had limited hours and everything was firmly shut by 9pm. In the morning even getting a cup of coffee was a challenge. The unit itself was comfortable but felt like no one had been there for a loooong time. The pantries were full of old cerial and canned goods. The dishwasher was full and reaked of mildew because the dishes had obviously been sitting there for a while. It was fundamentally clean, but certainly not pristine. It was fine, but I'd recommend staying in town and just driving up here to ski vs staying here.

Perfect ski-in-ski-out for Solitude/Brighton

Stayed here for a few nights with a couple buddies. Couldn't have asked for a better location to ski Solitude and Brighton mountain. Condo is a short 2-3 minute walk to the lifts and the Solitude Village has all you could want for a couple days away: two or three restaurants, a little bar.Very comfortably slept the three of us!

Good, But Couple of Things

We overall really enjoyed our stay here, but there were a couple of things I wished we’d known beforehand: first, I was planning on having laundry available in the unit, but when we got there, there was a sign posted requesting you do it in a little residents laundry room down the hall. Since I’m paying to use the unit, I think that’s unreasonable, especially if you’ve got little kids and need to be able to wash or dry things like swimsuits or filthy hiking clothes. Second, the bed was really firm, like almost-sleeping-on-the-floor firm. If you like that then great, otherwise maybe plan on bringing a mattress topper.
