I recently stayed there, but only for one night (business trip). The Hotel put me in a separate building from the main hotel. The room was comfortable, but clearly very old, built when people were shorter, I'm 6' 2" tall (183 cm) and had to duck my head going into the room. Had a very good dinner in the Hotel's restaurant.
Our last stop was the best! We were looking forward to coming back to enjoy the facilities and breakfast and were delighted with a wonderful upgrade giving us more room to spread out and repack everything. The room was sumptuous and loved the sheets! It's a in great little area with wonderful options for dinner within walking distance and enough off the road to sleep with the window open. You cannot go wrong for a short or long stay here exploring the neighborhood and town.
We stay there with our company already for many years during an exhibition that is taking place in Düsseldorf. Prices are quite high during this period (almost double), but we still like the place due to its great breakfast buffet - and also relaxed little suburb of Solingen with good choices to dine out as well.
The hotel Is devited in to parts the new one and the old one. The new part of the hotel outside it is look like and old historical building but inside in renovated with big room, clean and with all the necessary facilities .. very suitable for a short business trip. The old building is used to be the old post office and the management has kept some things just to keep the authentication of the old place but the room is small and very hot. The big disadvantages of the both building is the lack of AC system and it is something that the management should take seriously into consideration. Also the wifi it is so slow But the staff of the hotel is very friendly and it is always willing to help you
Charming hotel in historic part of town that is very scenic. Staff very helpful and good breakfast served. We ate at the hotels restaurant "Florian" in the evening which was good but only had a very small menu of about 3 choices for mains.
Don't believe the negative reviews, I was across the street in the old building. Solid and quiet. Very clean and comfortable. Several restaurants nearby within walking distance, I ate at the hotel's German restaurant, not very good, but I am sure there are some other very good choices nearby. Breakfast was superb the only thing that could make it better is if it was included in my room. Cannot fault this place, well organize and professional, well done !!
Nice hotel in quiet street full of bussinessmans. Clean room. There was no central light in the room, room was dark after sunset. Awesome breakfast, huge choice. Small fitness, wooden sauna, relax room. Friendly staff.
We arrived at the hotel very late on a Friday night after a rather eventful journey from the UK and a slightly hairy drive from the airport in the back of a fiat punto (long story). The staff were very friendly, spoke brilliant english (which helped with my rusty German). We checked into our beautiful room, freshened up and went down to the bar for a large glass of wine. Everything was wonderful. Friendly, relaxed and nothing was a problem. We also had some lovely local treats in our rooms (we were there for a conference so I think this was organised on their behalf). Breakfast was the standard continental affair - cold meats, cheeses etc and some hot options too. Great coffee.
I stayed here for one night on business and to summarise, this hotel is high quality with great attention to detail. Firstly the hotel is quite easy to find and has a decent size car park close to the hotel (which in a typically Germanic town is a rare find). Check - in was quick and easy and the staff on reception were extremely friendly. My room was very comfortable and reminded me of a typical room in a spa hotel, really nice carpet under foot and low level mood lighting in the ceiling! I realised later in the evening that I had left my toothbrush at home, however this was no problem as the reception were able to provide me with a dental kit (and the receptionist remembered my name) which was a great touch. I had a good nights sleep as the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was a good range of continental and cooked choices which set me up well for the day. Overall this was a very enjoyable stay, made extra special by the excellent staff. I will be booking to stay here again in a few weeks.
This hotel was located in sub a beautiful little sleepy town. It had a Bavarian feel about it even though in the north. The room was a good size and very clean. The bathroom was nice with a good hair dryer and powerful shower. There was a good selection at breakfast.
