On Wednesday 20th September, I had a conference in Sofia. The company that organise the conference had arranged some hotels for the participants. Even there were more hotels in my interesting, I booked one of them, "Legends Hotel", in order to be at the same hotel with my colleagues. Unfortunately, during the conference, I received an email saying that the hotel is overbooked. Totally unprofessional

Friendly staff, spoke good English. Room pretty standard - very clean. No hot water first night but adequate next morning. Cheap mini bar, just as well as the hotel bar was never open. Breakfast relied on quantity rather than quality. Good selection of cheeses and cold meats. Hot consisted of smoked sausage pieces, scrambled eggs (fried were also on offer but I have no idea how they got them to look such a mess!) Nice to see fresh fruit, but one morning someone had cut all the apples, bananas and oranges in half - obviously didn't know they would turn brown. Some cakes and pastries also available. The advertised restaurant and bar was not open despite signs stating the opening hours. Good location, midway between two metro stations. Three stops to city centre and walking distance to the wondeful Paradice shopping centre.

The hotel does not look like a 4 star hotel. it has issues in the cleaning part also. the good part is the underground parking altough a little small car places there. also, the price is pretty low per room.

This is rated a 4 star hotel and gets a rating of 4 on trip advisor and 62 of 133 hotels in Sofia. If this is true the other 71 hotels must be awful! The rating of this hotel is best expressed by the price. At $40 - $50 per night this really represents the quality of this hotel. I checked in at 20:00 and departed the next morning at 06:30 so I probably got good value. The beds are uncomfortable but I did like the matching stains on the twin bed covers. The reception staff were however very nice.

It was close to where I had a meeting so I went after seeing a special offer online. The girl at reception said there were no longer rooms available. She sent me away to another hotel that wasn't where she said. I then looked again online and found the special offer was gone but I could book at a higher rate. I was tired and did and went back to the hotel. The girl again said that there were no rooms. We argued, I showed her my confirmation, and she still said nothing was available. Then, she said there was one. But it was dirty and she didn't clean rooms. The manager got involved, told her to clean it, and asked me to wait another half hour. When I finally got to the room it was a disappointment to say the least. It was dated. The mattress was a joke, and there was no WiFi, only a few lights that worked, and an old TV with no selections. It claims to be a four star hotel and maybe it was 40 years ago! Stay here only if you have no choice

Enjoyed my stay at Legends Hotel. Tasty and diverse buffet for all tastes, as well as friendly - english speaking - personnel. Just a 5 min walk from metro station or a 30 min walk to the city centre.

After staying in so many places in Sofia in the past 3 years, this one is by far the best option. Very close to the metro station (5minutes walking to the new Vitosha station), Paradise Mall very close, Lidl shop just across the street, ATM next to the hotel entrance, calm and peaceful high class Lozenets area. The hotel is very clean, spacious rooms and absolutely wonderful staff; helpful and with good manners. I stayed at the 6th floor and the Wi-Fi signal was very strong (being able to carry a Skype business meeting on my laptop). I mention this because on the previous hotels in Sofia the most significant Wi-Fi was in the lobby and for a business trip this is really important to have in your room. The open bar breakfast is truly sufficient and there are plenty of tables. The shower pressure at the 6th floor was again impressive compared to the other hotels in Sofia and the windows are sound proof.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for the new years and we really liked it! *Verry friendly staff *Great room with wonderful view - on the 5th floor *We reserved a parking space for our car via email and they were waiting for us with our name on the parking list - and for only 5e per day - closed and secure parking! *The breakfast was amazing and the coffee was good! *Great location - very close to the Paradise mall which is a must for the shoppaholics like me :) *Very quite and relaxing location We would cone back if we are traveling to Sofia againfor sure!

The hotel is ok, nothing to contest! Stuff is really the value point of this hotel, the manager is really a great person: helpful and reliable! The rooms are quite big and standard in terms of quality. The price that we'd paid was really a bargain, considering that we were there during New Years eve!

The room i stayed in was spacious and the carpet & bathroom were new. The mattress was very firm and the pillows extremely small. Next door there was a room named "office", but my guess is that it's the room where maids go to gossip because there was noise from 7 am, we woke up every morning to this. The breakfast was lousy, i stayed there for 10 days and only ate twice, every day the same dishes and the coffe was so strong i had to fill half of my cup with it and the rest with water in order for it to be somewhat drinkable. The girls at the front desk don't speak English and it was very difficult to communicate. They also do not like to speak in general, or smile, but that's a Bulgarian thing because almost everyone is like that. Hygiene is average, it's very close to the metro and the internet service is awful. Only one device can connect to the wifi (from the room) each time and the bussiness center you just cant use because it's slow and the mouse and keyboard do not work.
