This hotel is well located and the rooms are well appointed along with being very large. We were travelling with a group and everything worked well especially at check in. Breakfast is good, however, our dinner was mediocre and one waiter was very rude. In the absence of the concierge, we asked the front desk person for an Italian restaurant recommendation. Unfortunately, he really did not know any in the vicinity but found one on his computer. Later we asked the concierge who had no interest in talking to us all and did not know anything about this Italian restaurant. This type of service is unfortunate because the hotel is so grandiose and so well located.

This hotel will be refurbished on their rooms as far As I understand. Lobby hotel and restaurants have been renovated already and decor is amazing. I am glad they will do the same with the rooms as they are a little old. Still yet comfortable. Great location to main attractions, walking distance. Good breakfast Buffet. English speaking staff.

The Grand Hotel has amazingly large rooms and is very well located. Clean and quiet. Decor is dated green marble and chunky furniture. Generally decent service, though a small request fell through the cracks and room service took an hour. TV didn't work first night but most of all I found the wifi really slow, at 200kbps. It's a solid four star hotel but not five in my opinion.

We spent 2 nights here. Wonderful rooms, service and location. The staff could not be more accommodating. Hotel is located in close to many of the main attractions and only 5-10 minutes from the main pedestrianized street with tons of shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was excellent

The staff is great, rooms clean, rooms are clean, breakfast is fresh and delicious. A very good place to stay. The Old Town is very interesting. I strongly recommend everyone to visit this city, and the hotel.

We stayed here as part of a tour! The rooms as noted by others are huge complete with a foyer. The bathrooms are large but in my opinion the lighting could be a tad better....for putting on makeup. We found the bed and pillows surprisingly hard. My husband enjoyed the sofa/tv viewing area. The location is great. Near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and a lovely park is behind the hotel. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet.

nice, large rooms, breakfast surpassing the Bulgarian standard zillion times, it is not a venue for a fine dinner as the restaurant is completely empty. fast wifi internet, sufficient spa and fitness centre are on the international level.

We enjoyed 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. The staff was top notch and the rooms were stunning - chandeliers, heavy curtains, 2 sofas, table + chairs, desk with a printer, and a beautiful view of Sofia that included a Roman archaeological dig just outside the hotel. Spacious, elegant, and quiet.

Good locations and with big rooms and good soundproof glas for a quite night even when activities are going on at the hotel. Fixed temperature airco and the overpriced breakfast was a dissapointment for me, for the rest everything is excellent.

Perfect stuff, traditional ambiente with class. Our wish for extra furniture on our room-terrace for having breakfast next day was wonderfully fullfilled after talking to the manager - thank you so much, we enjoyed it a lot !!
