i had the chance to stay in this hotel for a week. very clean , spacious rooms. i had a room at the 8th floor facing the park with a great view especially at dawn (I reccomend to ask for a room with a park view). Breakfast was good with a lot of variety and a chef cooking eggs in fron of you. nice staff. good locations, with a noce garden bar there is a gym for free and a spa (small steam bath e jacuzzi) and 2 small sauna.. but you have to pay for the spa. not a big amount but still.. But i think should be free for the hotel guest. apart from this i reccomend it

Very dark and depressing decor. Badly scratched furniture in my room. Bad carpet stains. Room quite large but extremely dark and bare. No iron or board. Exorbitant and slow laundry service. Elevator carpets disgustingly dirty.

My son and I stayed in October the room was huge and very comfortable. All amenities were fantastic staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us the food was fantastic especially the breakfasts. We will definitely be returning.

If you're looking for old world charm or 'character' this is probably not the hotel for you; but what it is is an attractive modern design in the very centre of things. As much commented, rooms are huge, clean and well appointed (we could have done with kettle/tea/coffee-making facilities as well as the well stocked minibar) and ours on 4th floor had magnificent city views. Breakfast (extra for us) in main restaurant was good with a wide choice but at a cost which appeared, to us, out of step with alternatives. The coffee in this restaurant was, frankly, appalling. However if you have a coffee in the lobby bar, or their very charming cake cafe, the coffee is first class. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and this added much to our appreciation of this hotel. Recommended

Warm and efficient reception from the staff. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. With trip advisor and travel blogs we didn’t need to trouble the concierge much and found the central location of the hotel excellent for visiting th sites.

I would not normally be a fan of communist era grand hotels but this really is an exception. Well located in central Sofia and warm friendly service. Rooms have a period charm but are well equipped and functional and offer very good value for money.

Spent two nights here with a Gate One package and boy did they chose the right hotel. Hugh Hugh, did I say Hugh rooms, and bathrooms. I didn't want to leave but had to . Breakfast was ok for Bulgarian standards, everything else out outstanding.

The hotel is top. The food is great. All facilities are the one a top hotel offers with one exception : THE HOTEL IS NOT ACCESSIBLE for wheelchair users. The ramp which was installed is one for a goods carrier, not for wheelchairs. It is a loss of dignity for the wheelchair user.

Centrally located. Easily accessible to parks, museums and also the metro. Getting around to malls which are not located near the hotel was also easy. Room is well furnished and vert clean. Great service and staff are professional. Value for money. I highly recommend to anyone looking for accomodation in Sofia.

The location of the hotel is good for exploring and walking to the sites. Room was clean enough but does show a lot of wear. Breakfast buffet was about average. There were a lot of tour groups staying, so you had to wait awhile for the elevator.
