Great Condo On The Beach!

This property was just as described. It was perfect for my 10yr old son and I. We made it our home away from home for a week. And the best part was that our balcony overlooked the ocean. Sunrises were amazing! And we could walk right out to the beach, we saw dolphins and even whales! The host was very responsive and even sent restaurant recommendations. Perfect relaxing spring break!

Beautiful ocean views

My family and I enjoyed our stay and the best things about the condo are the views, beach & pool, and communication with the owner, he was very helpful. In the description it says the condo is on the 2nd floor, what it doesn’t say is that you have to go up 2 flights of stairs to get to the 2nd floor. My 82 year old dad struggled. The bathtub was slippery and felt unsteady, the water pressure wasn’t great, and the towels were mismatched and poor quality. But those views make up for that.

Needs some work.

I'll start with, our family had a great time. The pool was always clean and adequate size for the population of community. Never overcrowded, other guests were friendly too. The beach was so close and there were plenty of shells for the kids to hunt. As far at the unit goes. I will say it photographed well for the listing. What you dont see is the shower.. there is molded caulking or caulk missing. The tub liner is likely covering up a broken old tub. It is obviously when standing closer to the shower head is sinks down when you step in it. While the floor was reolace and is nice the trim that has been painted probably many times does now appear clean or all in tact. The rug on the blacany is likely loaded with sand because even after sweeping all of the floors each day anytime you steped out on the blacony your feet then tracked in sand making the floors feel dirty immediately. Also the ceeling fan above our bed was visibly loaded with dirt/dust, that we never turned it in even though we would have liked to. All this being said, our small children did not notice any of this or at least didnt mention it. But my husband and I felt like while being on vacation, we just were never relaxed because it just didnt feel like it was a treat or vacation because of those items contributing to the atmosphere in our "home away from home"

I was in the area to visit the grandson and family. This was the perfect location to stay. It was quiet and perfect size for me. Kids visited one evening and grandson loved the balcony. Unfortunately Mother Nature gave me 2 days of rain but the beach setting was very relaxing. Even saw dolphins on the morning of check out!! Definitely would stay here again.

Great family getaway

Alan’s condo is a gem! He was extremely responsive to every message which made communication so easy. We woke up and had our morning breakfast over looking the beautiful ocean and spent evenings out there watching the sunset. It became our little pocket of peace. The condo itself has everything you need. The kitchen, bedroom space, and a washer and dryer. It just made our stay feel like we were at home. I can’t think of anything better than a stress free weekend away. We spent everyday by the pool and collected beautiful seashells along the shore. The biggest take away was the area was quiet yet close enough to downtown surf city. We had such a great stay, it was hard to leave. We can not wait to return!

This property was perfect for kids! Close to the beach and the pool. Very quiet! Most restaurants are about 20 minutes away but worth the drive. Beach was not crowded during our stay either which was relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

Quick Beach Trip

We really enjoyed our short trip to North Topsail Beach. The ocean view at The Driftwood was beautiful! The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. We were able to cook in one night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great location with very easy beach & pool access. Do wish there was an elevator, going up all the stairs with a bad knee and luggage was a little tricky.

Loved the unit and proximity to the beach. Balcony had a nice beach/ocean view and kids loved the pool too. Property is up a couple flights of stairs so be prepared for a little workout hauling beach stuff up. Property complex also has a playground, basketball hoop and various outdoor games that the kids loved. It is located on a fairly quiet stretch so not a ton of places to eat in the immediate vicinity and the grocery store is a little drive but we brought food for the weekend so it wasn’t an issue. Overall loved our stay.

“Best beach trip ever” - my kids

We had the most amazing time at Alan’s place!!! The pool was awesome and full of kids which my children loved. Walk out the door and in 2 minutes you’re in your chair on the beach. We collected so many whole seashells we lost count!! The king bed was extremely comfortable and my kids loved the bunks. Perfect location, awesome amenities, we would go back in a heartbeat!

1st family beach vacation

We came in with the mindset, ready to enjoy new experiences. We stayed on the 2nd floor and enjoyed making it our family "exercise" going up and down steps . The ocean front view was amazing… And the easy access to the clean pool was a must for our 4 yr old . We enjoy eating healthy, so the fully equipped kitchen made it easy. The washer and dryer made it easy to keep up on laundry so we had less when we returned home. Plenty of linens were provided for our stay. We enjoyed utilizing the beach chairs that were provided so we did not have to pack those. We love the more secluded feel of this location where is the beaches were not too crowded and it was tranquil and low-key enough in the morning to take a run on the road. Alan was quick to respond and also offered some good recommendations for dining. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay at the Driftwood

Condo is nicely decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Great view from the balcony and only steps from the beach and pool. Easily accommodated a family of 5. North Topsail Beach is beautiful, family friendly, and quiet. The owner is very responsive and does their best to ensure your stay is great.

Small but absolutely lovely!

This property is just as listed! It felt cramped at times for our family of 5 (including two teens), but we made the most of it and enjoyed our time together! It is as pictured and as described, but every bit of space is well used. The ocean view is incredible (second floor is perfect for beautiful views and super easy beach access), and the pool was never very crowded and was a relaxing hangout area. Kids enjoyed the sport/game area out front. The beach disappeared during high tide but could still be walked and enjoyed. During low tide there was lots of beach to enjoy! We tried local restaurants for lunch and I cooked dinners in the condo kitchen, which was perfectly stocked with all the tools I needed. We used our streaming logins on the television, but I think local channels were an option, too. Thanks for the great family vacation!
