This was a great beach house! Loved being able to just walk out on the beach. Topsail was quiet but that was perfect for us. We had everything we needed and loved the big table in the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen was fully equipped with adequate supplies to cook Thanksgiving dinner. The house was very clean and clearly recently renovated. Bedding and towels were very nice. Very pleased with the house and our stay. We would stay there again.

We are pretty well-travelled as a family. When we had our family time to talk about trip agenda or how things were tracking in general (like a state-of-the-union sort or evaluation mid-trip. State-of-the-stay?), we all agreed this place was top 3 all-time homes we've stayed in; with several votes for 1st place. I'm not sure I could give the home higher praise than that! The location is enough all by itself. WYSIWYG as far as the VRBO listing and the pictures there. The waves breaking, the walkway to the beach, the stars. There are shelves amd shelves full of family games for nights when you just want to hang at the house (why wouldnt you want that?), and all the gakes are in new or like-new condition. Just yes x 1000. One of my sons is stationed at MCAS New River, and it is all of our hope that this home is available whenever we come back (and this is already our 5th trip to N.C. since october '24). If you're still swiping or on the fence, Im not sure what else I can say to sway you. Thank you to our host Michelle for the prompt response and to the owner for the pride and upkeep of the home itself. 10-out-of-10, would recommend :)

We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely plan another trip here in the future! The home was clean and spacious for our family of 6. Loved that each couple had their own bathroom! Enjoyed using the beach amenities provided with the house! Perfect beach front location & enjoyed being able to bring our Australian Shepherd with us to enjoy the beach! You will not be disappointed booking this ocean front beach house!

What a beautiful home! This was by far the best rental I have ever booked. This home had everything you could possibly need while on vacation. Very clean beautifully decorated. Communications with management was great. I look forward to stay here again in the near future.

This house is perfect! Modern, clean, spacious, with a well stocked kitchen - everything has been so thoughtfully planned and taken care of! We loved the direct access to the beach and watching the ocean from the decks. Really appreciated the beach towels and chairs and areas for the dogs to be outside, too! We plan to come back again!

Exactly as described

Steps to the Sea was a great house for our family vacation. The house is beautifully updated/decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. And the beach was great and not crowded!! Michelle was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to our questions both during booking and our stay. We would definitely stay at Steps to the Sea again!

Beautiful and relaxing beach stay

First the beach is fantastic. Not crowded. Large. Easy to get to. Our dog and kids had a great time. The house is lovely. Clean, well furnished, well-equipped, laid out well. Everything is taken care of and not worn or in need of maintenance. Mostly the word that comes to mind is easy. Staying here is easy. Relaxing. You are well cared for. There is olive oil, spices, nice pans and sharp knives in the kitchen. There are beach chairs and towels for you to use, nice linens and mattresses. Nice touches like travel shampoos and soft towels and a bin full of stuff just in case you forgot a toothbrush or razor. There is dish soap and laundry soap. There is toilet paper and hand soap. Bring yourself and your family and enjoy the water. A great stay and a great location. Really thoughtfully put together rental. Thank you!

Thanksgiving in Topsail

This house is AMAZING! Our family stayed there for Thanksgiving and it was everything we could hope for and more. It is right on the beach - where we enjoyed mulitple walks a day. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we've ever had in a VRBO - there was everything you could ever need. The layout was amazing with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor. Kitchen, living room and king bed upstairs - the views from the living room and 3 of the bedrooms were fantastic. Great gathering spaces and plenty of room for some alone time if you wanted. We definately will be back!

Perfect Getaway

We went in the starting of the off season. No crowds or traffic. Water was still warm. Found sharks teeth, visited the pier, ate lots of different food, enjoyed the sun and fishing. Plenty of space for all of us. Access to the beach was amazing! Our older dog got tired of the stairs by the middle of the trip but was happy to nap on her blanket during the day. Will definitely be back!
