Hotel offers the usual Scandic quality which is quite high. Hiowever, it is situated in a commercial area with no view to the sea. It is close to the highway and major streets, so it is easy to come and go. Staff speaks - besides Danish - also German and English. Rooms are cleaned on request only. Breakfast was OK, although I missed the Danish rolls. It offers English and Continental breakfast.

The hotels internal communication, in the context of refilling soap and unclogging the shower drain. Services (such as the aforementioned) had to be ordered the day before, but the soap bottle was opaque, thus you couldn’t tell when it was near to empty. Neither of these items were attended to by the hotel, in spite of a direct request.

Det er et slidt hotel, men det gjorde ikke os noget, vi var glade for det lå i udkanten af byen så der var helt ro. De havde ikke aften restaurant men en seddel med samtlige restauranter i byen og om der var take away derfra hvis det ønskedes. Vi kunne sagtens finde på at komme igen

Vi booker et værelse med 2 enkelt senge da det ikke er muligt at booke dobbelseng, men som regel står sengene sammen (som også vist på billederne på siden) eller man kan skubbe dem sammen, men kunne vi ikke her, hvilket var træls. Sengene var 120 cm (+-) og var elendige, de var så bløde og burde være udskiftet for længst. Hovedpuden var ekstrem lille og tynd, dem kunne vi dog får en til af. Ingen gulvmåtte til badeværelset. Brusehovedet samt armatur trængte til at blive afkalket, man kunne knap nok skrue på armaturet grundet kalk. Morgenmaden var ganske fin, men meget kaotisk. Dette var vores første besøg på et Scandic hotel, og man ville tro at standarden var højere end den er her i Sønderborg. Vi vælger et andet hotel næste gang vi er i Sønderborg og omegn.
