Decent value but not without issues

The good: Great location (unless you want to spend time in the Paceville nightlife, which isn't our thing), and probably the quietest apartment I've ever stayed in Malta. Barely any noise from outside or from the neighbors. The building itself felt safe, secure, and well-kept. Huge shopping mall, restaurants, cafes, etc within a 200m radius. Good communication from the owner. We visited in the dead of the winter, heating was good and kept the place warm. Very good wifi. The bad: The place (especially showers and beds) are falling apart. Poor water pressure in the showers. Non-existing noise cancellation between rooms. The curtains don't block out sunlight at all. Uncomfortable beds. Not even soap available to wash your hands, not to mention other basic amenities like shampoo/shower gel. Parking is a ridiculous hassle. The address given doesn't exist on Google maps and the place is hard to find when you first arrive. And when you arrive, you're expected to pay Maltese tax fees in cash (who carries cash in 2024?). Overall, I could see myself staying again, but not before I've scouted other options.
